Thats right, more springs are here and will begin shipping the first of the week. "Big Babies" are being tagged and bagged. These are the small version 1/10th scale springs .16-.24 wire to fill needs where they are needed. And as with all Windtunnel springs they will be color coded.

REMEMBER: Windtunnel springs are not powder coated or plated. Why? Consistancy is the answer. Any time you heat treat these small springs the rates change and with powder coated it becomes a bigger problem. Powder coat and plating both require a heating process.

Top Quality wire from the industry standard in springs. Standards, Progressive (dual rates), babies, big babies, vcs, center shock/touring and still yet more to come.

Part numbers and etc will be posted later today.

Also, more Windtunnel aftermarket products have gone into production as of this morning to fill voids in areas where there is not enough product to fill needs

Windtunnel......the industry standard. Thank you for your support Everyone

No plans to fill in gaps at this time Mike. Future there is possibly though

SPRING FACTS: With yet another company taking a shot at the spring market here is some information you should know. Wire does not have brains, wire isnt smart, wire dont know what shape it is in. With the company new to the spring market making claims that their spring works better I going to tell you they are wrong. Having been working with a spring design expert for almost a year now I myself have learned a lot. I have tested all kinds of shapes to come up with something a little different. A variable pitch does not work any different than the current conical shape. I know this because I have been testing this very same concept lately. I was told it wouldnt be any different but I had to prove it to myself. Does this mean you wont see something of this cocept in the future. Possible, but why sell you something that simply doesnt do anything different. When this concept tells me they are better then Windtunnel will look hard at it. Until then dont let others scare into thinking. Remember.....wire is dumb

Rob, I hate to tell you but the concept works, they use it in big car racing all the time. What the "other guys", aka KSG, are doing is making a spring that coil binds some of the coils, there for changing the number of active coils, which DOES change the rate. As a spring goes into bind the rate changes, trust me we do this with the big car. Now I have NEVER rated a cone progressive and I have never even held one the new springs but I would assume the cone's gain rate slowly and the others change rates. That is why the cones are PROGRESIVE and the others are DUAL. The cones are whatever-whatever (8-10) rate not whatever/whatever (8/10) rate, there is a difference. Progressive and dual are 2 different things.

we used the same thing years ago in the dirt latemodels and asphalt late models, and it still is used today.

Cup cars have just taken it on in the last few years.... nothing new just new to r/c cars... well i do know tow carpet races that have used it for a couple years and one has a snowbirds win with it...and a few others....

Cory, you are correct the concept does work, Im not saying it dont work but, what I have found in testing my springs that are the same type is that they bind to quickly in the 1/10th scale cars. They jump from one rate to the other to quickly. I have the windtunnel version here and they have been in testing but conical are much smoother better transitioning spring for the speed to scale ratio. I have a number of different shaped, pitches and etc here that I have been working with and some may like the way they feel but at this time I personally do not feel they are a benifit with our cars in most applications. If at some point I feel that they do become something that is right then the Windtunnel versions will be tagged and bagged for shipping. They are here and ready to go as well as others types.

I see what you are saying Rob. Maybe they will coil bind too quickly but maybe they are enough different than anything you have tested and they work. I am going to buy a set and try them out.
