I've had this one for about six years now. The box design really caught my eye.
Unfortunately, I can't remember what the name of the car is in English!

That is really nice. I've got one Russian car, a 1932 GAZ, and it isn't made nearly as nicely made as what you have there. When I get to it, I'll post pics.

Thanks for posting the pic. A very different 1/43 scale car. Having the box really makes it worthwhile!

COOL... never saw a Russian diecast car before, and am amazed at all the detailing. I like how all the doors, hood, and rear tailgate open. Man, that ultra white interior and white rims almost put this piece in the WL catagory!

Very nicely done, and THANKS for showing that baby off!

This is GAZ Volga (M-24 model I think) and used to be a very popular car in Russia. Very cool model!

Thanks to all of you for the positive comments. This is one of my favorite 1/43 models, and it probably always will be.
I'm glad I took a chance and bought it way back then.

At the time it didn't really fit into my collection, but the box & the car's striking color scheme charmed me into buying it.

Special thanks to Superbird77 for the ID info; now I can see how the letters in the name match up to Volga. I appreciate your help on that very much.

I wrote the English name on a note and put it in the box for future reference, as I know I will probably forget again!

Neat! I have a Russian plane to go with it:

The planes depicted on the car box are Il-86s. That toy would date from the very late 70s up to around 1991. This one's an earlier Tu-104, one of the first jet liners in the world (1956).

That's a great looking airplane; the detailing on it is beautiful. Thanks for posting the picture!
