View Full Version : Horsham R/C Racing 2006-2007
HorshamRCRacing 09-29-2006, 12:47 PM Oval racing hs been postponed until further notice. All my posts have been retracted. This thread has lost it's original intent. So go on and have your fun, but it is a very sad day for oval racing at Horsham R/C.
Terry
ok horsham oval guys-n-gals what classes are we all gonna run?? 4 cell stock nascar body for 1 class and another is 4 cell stock truck body???
Mr.fastman 10-01-2006, 08:45 AM Any interest in 19T?
Anytime72 10-01-2006, 11:03 AM yes 19t
ok lets make it three classes on a regular day!!!! 4 cell nascar stock, 4 cell nascar 19t& 4 cell truck or we can try to see if brushless will be big in orl next year and just follow there guidelines with 19t added????
cwinters 10-08-2006, 11:22 PM yeah! great track, and close to home. hope to see you all there a few times this winter.
Chuck
cwinters 10-08-2006, 11:23 PM I would also suggest laying out the track to be the approx. size of the snowbirds track(not sure what the size will be). This way you can have a 'birds warm-up race every other weekend with no complaints.

beekman 10-09-2006, 10:48 PM is there a chance the orl race will be rescheduled?if so why?
Jamie Hanson 10-09-2006, 10:55 PM I can assure you I will be making many of these races. It will take about 2.5 hours to get there. As far as the track, I have not been here before and do not know the dimensions. I want to say the birds track has always been about 165' to 170' race line. I will run whatever class is offered. If there is any interest in brushless, I will play a part in that. I know it is starting to grow, working its' way down from the Midwest.

Old School Race 10-10-2006, 12:20 AM Sounds to me like you need to iron things out. I'm sure another track, like Kranzel's, would love to host this race on the date you accepted. Kinda late to be changing dates. Many of us have adjusted and set our schedules long ago for this race. orl thread (http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?p=1666860#post1666860) I think that is the reason bill and dave set the dates for the series so far in advance. If it is sunday i won't be there.
bologna 10-10-2006, 06:41 AM The second race of the season will be Sunday October 29th and will be the official ORL warm up race. We will leave the track setup for part of the following week. This will provide you with the opportunity to get so extra practice laps in before the ORL race.
how do you plan to keep the oval up all week with your big onroad race??????????????????????????????????????????? so much for the oval pratice
HorshamRCRacing 10-10-2006, 01:45 PM .....
jman91 10-10-2006, 04:20 PM I see in a previous post you relized you had a "conflict"a month ago,yet when I asked Bill Henning about it(heard a rumor) on Sunday he ahd no idea there was a problem. Why did you not address the problem when it arose. As far as the BS goes it stems from Horsham RC not having a clue.Like many others I work on Sat and have to request time off well in advance now I have burned a day because you people can't get your sh*t together. Most of us will show up because of the points and the season ending give aways and the track will gladly take our money. It looks like I'll run Kranzel's and Pottbellies for the rest of the indoor season.I hope that the Sat on road program can keep the doors open because you are pissing racers off at an alarming rate(Off Road,Oval...)
abdule 10-10-2006, 04:48 PM I really don't see any problems here, pack up the tents and take this circus to KRANZELL'S.....................THIS TRACK WAS POSTED FOR 11-04-06 AND TERRY AND HIS BAND OF MERRY MEN HAVE HAD ALL SUMMER TO WORK THIS PROBLEM OUT.If you go back to "TERRY'S" first post you will read that he set the ball in motion for the posted date for the ORL race on it's scheduled date of 11-04-06, so why the change now? I say take our toys to another track that would welcome use.........KRANZELL'S
BILL80 10-10-2006, 05:16 PM Terry,
Can you please email me David Young's email address and phone number?
Thanks,

bologna 10-10-2006, 05:39 PM i say its time to step up and if terry is are only hope at horsham and they dont want us lets not go... if the date is not moved i push all of you to boycott this race if its not moved to another track. at this point who cares about the points when with all this im sure it will be an unpleasant day there to say the least.... just so you know marshels is racing there open house race on sat nov 4th for those that would like to go if this event remainds at horsham....
and sorry bill for the bashing but im tired of the bull from this so called high end establishement.. even last winter it was a mess racing there and not fun at all..
if horsham dont want us red necks i say ok to that no skin off my back....
losi888 10-10-2006, 06:10 PM Bill when will we have a date for the race. I was going to go to Horsham this coming weekend but there is no point in going if they dont want us oval racers.
Joe DiGirolamo
bologna 10-10-2006, 06:43 PM hey i have an idea lets set it up for some other date on a sunday and see how fast we get bumped for a 5 year old birthday party or better yet lets stop racing for a few hrs so they can have the party while i sit on my duff wanting to smash my head into a brick wall........
IM ON A ROLLLLLLLLLLLLL and the nights young
losi888 10-10-2006, 06:57 PM Brock that is good. I told my wife I wanted my Birthday there but she thinks I am kidding.
abdule 10-10-2006, 07:00 PM we cann't give up on the last race of the year, but we can give up on Horsham. we don't have much time to figure this out, and we have only two tracks to choose from. ( Kranzell's & PottBelley's) Besides all of this, Horsham doesn't deserve two races if this is the way they want to treat the ORL. As a group we all should say NO to Horsham and move on with this.
Anytime72 10-10-2006, 07:02 PM Joe, I thought you wanted your party at the roller rink????
bologna 10-10-2006, 07:04 PM i got it lets book it as a birthday party and maybe we can get some track time.....
i feel that is ok for us not to go there did everyone forget about there lazer leveled floor that produced that single in 3 and the huge double out of 4.. i dont know if i need my rip car are a losi buggy to clear that thing...
losi888 10-10-2006, 07:07 PM Brock you can come to my birthday if you want.
Mr.fastman 10-10-2006, 07:13 PM We are all ORL racers and I know I couldn't boycott any ORL race even if it was in a Kmart parking lot. Bill Henning and crew work very hard for FREE to give us a great series every year, I know alot of people are upset about this (including me), but the people that do this for us should not suffer as a result.
Doug
Bill Auchterlonie 10-10-2006, 07:15 PM Why have this race at Horsham? Lets not trash talk the place anymore lets put this to Bill. Bill it sounds like the overwelming majority wants to move this race location. How can I help you? Would you likr me to contact Dave or Drew? Lets get the ball rolling so we can end the season on a good note. I can only imagine the tension some will feel if we go to Horsham now.
Bill A-votes=Kranzels
bologna 10-10-2006, 07:34 PM doug this has nothing to do with the orl bill and crew are top notch.. this has to do with a track and not giving are money to them.. it would not be a orl boycott it would be a track boycott.... i refuse to give a penny of my hard earned money to that place anymore after this... they made a comittment a year ago and now were bumped thats bull.. im not letting this go im MAD.....
do to this i lost 8 hrs of vacation pay for nothing do you think horsham is going to repay me or give me another vacation day????? last year i made 9 out of 10 events and this year i was hopeing to make them all... i burned alot of vacation time to run this year only to be punked buy the horsham crew... hell i took a vacation day myself to get trains race ready because i knew the shop would not do it... so hows about them apples
Mr.fastman 10-10-2006, 07:44 PM Sorry Brock - I understand what your saying, your level of commitment to the series shows in the results. Hope you'll accept my apology.
Doug p
bologna 10-10-2006, 07:56 PM no apology needed if i came off wrong to you i am sorry it was not ment towards you at all.. you and the rest of the orl know that were all good friends and have a great time together.. everyone wants to let this one rest but i wont i want to call horsham out on the table... al called it in feb of this year saying ( wow i cant belive the let us in on a sat)
so doug were good you know that your to nice of a guy to be mad at. hehehe
BILL80 10-10-2006, 08:06 PM Just keep an eye on the web site and here, I should have something to post tomorrow. I'm not happy over this either  but we've got to make the best decision for all, not just the few.
Easy on the bashing, and be patient.

decision for all not just the few is not a matter the race date was posted 10 mo ago there should be no decision that has to be made a date is a date..
we have a date so the ones that choose to run the orl can plan ahead if need be not everyone lives in a flower garden world with a 9 to 5 weekends off and 4 weeks vacation!!!!
i just hope a fair decision is made and the right thing is done for this year and the following years to come
i could see an outside event do the weather or such but this is out of pure lack or respect to the orl and the orl drivers by horsham rc
beekman 10-10-2006, 08:46 PM i want to go to POTBELLYS ALL IN FAVOR SAY IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
bologna 10-10-2006, 08:53 PM Brock you can come to my birthday if you want.

Greg H 10-11-2006, 12:15 PM Now you've done it! We just got the boot for this Sunday!
And by the way, last year Horsham said they were going to run oval every other Sunday. Two weeks after their first oval race I showed up to run oval agian, but to my surprise they were having an ORL2 onroad event that day. After only one oval race they had already broken their oval schedule. I drove an hour each way for nothing.
I guess it was ok to cancel the oval race for an onroad race, but not the other way around.
Bill Auchterlonie 10-11-2006, 12:23 PM I think a birthday party would be a GREAT idea, because you are all acting like a bunch of
5 YEAR OLDS!!!!!
At his point, this Sunday's race is off the schedule. We will evaluate the next ORL warmup date after this weekend.
Terry
Would a five year old say BLOW ME !
