Dirtydrc 09-29-2006, 05:34 AM Rob, does the readings stay consistant as the tire wears down, and there is less thickness of foam on the rim? Like, will a 2.300" tire reading 40 durometer stay at 40 when the size gets to 2.10"?
abdule 09-29-2006, 06:42 AM looks like it is built on the MaxMod idea from long ago..............
dave w 1 09-29-2006, 08:18 AM Great Job Rob Received My Springs Last Week From You They Are Perfect In Every Detail!
MURDOCKRC 09-29-2006, 09:29 AM reading will remain stable until certain points. at 2.1 you on the rim on other rims except the Windtunnel line of rims and very close with others. Providing the plunger has enough rubber to work on then yes it will remain the same. But keep in mind that traction compound, will have effects, sitting around in open air and other factors can also have effects on the firmness of the rubber. If you attempt to get a reading and your on a seam it will also have effects on your readings so learn how to use your durometer correctly and you should have a great tool to reference your tires by.

PUF19 09-29-2006, 09:41 AM NIce looking unit Rob!
98Ron 09-29-2006, 09:43 AM Rob, can this gauge be used on Cap tires?
MURDOCKRC 09-29-2006, 09:55 AM Thanks for the props Puf19 :)
You can use this unit on caps. I have done it with mine. The plunger is probably not ideal for it but it can be used for the caps. I have considered doing a second version with a slightly different plunger that would be better for the capped tires.
Barry Hill 09-29-2006, 11:19 AM Killer machine work Rob.....LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nu2OvalCars 10-08-2006, 01:01 AM It does sure look like Max Mod durometer. Hey, Rob will you be coming out with a tire lathe that looks and works like Max Mod ?
MURDOCKRC 10-08-2006, 08:43 AM  Not sure how to take your post for sure here and yes it looks like a maxmod but the difference is that mine will be available when you need it. No waiting months or weeks. No need to make a tire machine. There are plenty of good machines avaialable
Nu2OvalCars 10-09-2006, 09:02 PM Didn't mean no disrespect or anything at all, just an observation. :freak: Your'e right, yours is NOW available and your customer service is second to none. If I need one I sure will get your product as soon as I can afford it.
MURDOCKRC 10-09-2006, 11:34 PM Thanks, if you look at what Windtunnel has done to this point I have been bringing back or making items that have been in high demand but unavailable, hard to get, or the company went out of business or whatever the case may be. More products are, will be or have been in testing. Things that are completely new to the market. One thing I will say is that if I dont see the need for something or there is not enough improvement I wont release it. My goal has always been to sell items or now produce items that benifit your race program and not sell anthing that is not of benifit to your racing. Hopefully I can maintain what I have become know for in 20 years in the business and that is honesty and now great products.
Thanks for everyones support:thumbsup:
wowracer1 10-10-2006, 05:24 PM You are the Man Rob Good Products and good prices on time............
Thanks for all you do for Oval Racing...............
MURDOCKRC 10-10-2006, 09:25 PM Anytime Brad. I set out on a mission and it is long from over. My up front goals are to provide currently needed stuff and then make a sound decision on new things. If test stuff dont do what I want or I dont feel it is an improvement over what we have, Im not going to sell it to you. Everything Im doing is dont with nothing but good intentions
