We will be starting in door's 10/7 Break out them cars and dust them off for some racing, No more rain to worry about....
Also we are having a Stock ShootOut, 11/18 Already around 23 people for sure, Will be one tough stock crowd...
aracefan3 09-25-2006, 07:31 PM Looking forward to another great banked oval season.
I am sure "Team John" will dominate the has been "team Rick".
I want to see if anyone is interested in a brushless class. I would like to run that as well as the stock class. We need to check the interest and then set up some rules. This could be a brushless stock class with no modifications to keep it even and fun. this could be a fun class that requires little or no work except charge a lipo battery and dope some tires.

Make it a Spec battery pack and i'm in!! Sounds fun.
aracefan3 09-25-2006, 11:13 PM what kind of voltage do they have? We need to haul a little a@@ around the track.
erock1331 09-26-2006, 12:11 PM John a spec motor 21T and spec battery (i think they are like 1600 or 1700mah) can go as fast if not faster than 4 cell stock.
I would think a spec battery with a brushless 4300 would be faster than stock.
Runtime could be an issue though. Might have to gear em down.
Now that would be an interesting class to run. Should keep the cost down
adamliehr 09-26-2006, 12:23 PM I doubt Walt would let those lipos run, they would burn the place down!
MARTIN 09-26-2006, 12:50 PM Anyone thinking about a 4800 class? tad faster than 19turn but no B.S.
MARTIN 09-26-2006, 02:06 PM Adam L....you got a p.m.
messenger07 09-26-2006, 07:42 PM I will be racing stock until the stock shootout. Then I will go up to 19turn. Hey martin to keep it interesting we should bounce back and forth every week from 19turn to stock.
aracefan3 09-26-2006, 08:21 PM What is the issue with the lipos, are they dangerous or something?
Keeping the cost down and having another class (Cheaper) to run would be a good thing. God knows the place could use a few new faces and a low cost, low maintenance program could be the answer.
Every time i talk to anyone interested in this they are immediately put off with the cost. At this rate we going to be racing in the parking lots soon. This class has to be a class that doesnt allow any of the modified stuff that is messing up the classes we have now. A straight out of the box brushless motor with speed contoll attached is one answer i think. the racing would be left to talent and car set up. Making the tires blue / green like bush might also help keep it close and less expencive.
what are your thoughts guys?

messenger07 10-01-2006, 08:28 PM So who is coming this weekend?
ICEMAN96 10-02-2006, 04:15 PM Ive Seen A Lipo Go Boom.they Even Make Blow Bags For Them. I Like To Use The When Im Just In The Back Yard Playing.lipo And Brushess That Would Be Like 19t- Mod. I Do Think Spec Batteries And Brushless Would Be Perfect.
ICEMAN96 10-02-2006, 04:32 PM Is There Going To Be A Day For Practice This Year During Store Hours. It's Hard For A Kinda Newbie To Get Good If You Can't Practice. I Know It Took Me Awhile Before I Said What The Heck And Tried It There,im Hooked Now But Still Need Alot Of Practice.IM Doing Double Duty This Year Sat At Classic And Sunday At Freddies I Know Ill Be At Freddies Practicing........................................ ........... Who Would Like To Have A Practice Day AT CLASSIC???????????????
I know we used to set up a Day for people to practice, And Eddie or someone else would stop in to help out with setup ect.
erock1331 10-02-2006, 06:23 PM Used to be Tues nights back in the day.
Eddie & Ricky used to help us newbies out with setup and how to properly build a car.
Each week was a different area of the car. Shocks one week, front end the next, diff the next week.
If I wasnt out of town most weeks I would offer to come down but been too busy lately.
I could offer to show up, But that would come down to Walt, And if there where enough people that needed to learn,
lowdoughracer 10-02-2006, 09:58 PM id be there. i always need to learn how to build things properly on the car. lol. i should be there this weekend. lets get walt a good crowd this weekend.
ICEMAN96 10-02-2006, 10:31 PM Thats Exactly What I Mean Theres Time To Have Somone Help You On A Practice Day. On Race Day I Know Guys Help But They Do Have There Own Stuff To Get Ready To. But Every Does Do There Best To Help Ya.
ovaler 10-02-2006, 11:08 PM Id love to practice seeing it's my first year on carpet.I've raced a little in texas with my brother,i was running stock and making 2 B mains and the A main last time i was there out of A,B,C,AND,D MAINS .But mostly dirt oval last few years.-----------------------------------------------------------WHAT IS A GOOD SETUP FOR STOCK i just got a KSG GEN 2 and have a KSG SOLID[WICH ONE SHOULD I USE]
Talk to walt sat. about the practice thing, I'm usally free during the week for a few hours to help out with stuff.
Ovaler allow pm's and i can PM you a setup.. or throw me your email...
latemodel100 10-02-2006, 11:51 PM what happened to the website? I am looking for that setup sheet that was on it at one time, with all the different front ends and all the other setup info...... I liked that setup sheet but ran out of copies and wanted to make some more.....
ovaler 10-03-2006, 12:12 AM I just found the P.M. LINK thanks.My email is perrydj666@aol.com
aracefan3 10-03-2006, 08:11 AM keep in mind the track opens at 11am on saturday and racing starts at 6.
there is 7 hours of good practice time.
I know Rick and I are usually there by 12 along with several other folks so get there early. We are always glad to help but unfortunatly we are not total experts. We can get you rolling pretty well, ok well at least i can....
ICEMAN96 10-03-2006, 01:23 PM I Know You Guys Are There And Give All The Help You Can On Saturday But It Makes It Along Day In That Wheelchair. A Regular Practice Day Would Be Nice To Really Have Time. Did Walt Take Out The Radio Impound Shelves That Would Give A Wheel Chair More Room On The Drivers Stand To Get Through....i Hate When I Bother Somone While They Are Practacing So I Can Get To The End Of The Drivers Stand Where I Sit.
aracefan3 10-05-2006, 09:35 PM good suggestion about the radio racks. i have never seen them used.
Beero 10-06-2006, 12:06 AM I gotta work this saturday, but I will be there the 14th. Who is in for some Mod action?
Joel

ULTRARACE 10-08-2006, 09:14 AM How Many Laps You Guys Go?
aracefan3 10-08-2006, 09:46 AM Frank hit 53 and might have hit 54 once, not sure.
I am going to stick that brushless in the Hyperdrive this week. We ran it with the spec pack 1600 and it flew. It ran every bit of 50 and had plenty more in it. we just threw a gear in the thing and didnt have allot of time to play with the roll out. I believe we are planning on putting truck bodies on the brushless and setting up a class.
It will be a cool easy second class and could be affordable for beginners.
When are we going to see that slow Ultra race car back on the track?
ICEMAN96 10-08-2006, 02:22 PM Id Be In For Spec Brushless.............................would Have Been There Yesterday But My Buddy Back Out To Do Yard Work.

[B]SPEC BRUSHLESS. LETS GET A SET OF RULES AND A FEW GUYS TO GET IT STARTED. MINE IS READY AND I PLAN ON BEING THERE NEXT WEEK.
It'll be another week or 2 before we figure out what all will work, So we can get a good set of rules... We are playing now
ICEMAN96 10-08-2006, 06:35 PM Is There Enough For A Class Now Just To Play.im 1 Ill Be There For Sure What Do We Need 3 More.
aracefan3 10-08-2006, 07:16 PM the car i ran it in was a pile of junk so this comming week i should have it in a good car that has had some work put into it. We want to make a class of these so beginners can come out and get started without a big cost. that will require we play with gearing etc to make sure they dont get in over their head. Tires will also be a issue. We may need to do the spec blue and green like bush.
I would also like to get these things in a class where we can fly so the rest of us can have some fun. The plan is to run the Novac 4300 brushless with no modifications.
Right now Rick and I are the only people there with them so come on out.
Walt will have the truck bodies in soon so we will play with the car bodies till then.
ICEMAN96 10-08-2006, 10:00 PM Tell Rick To Bring His Saturday Thats 3 Of Us. Ive Got The Novak 4300
