I have thousands on these things, dating way back into the Twenties. Anyone else collect car ads from magazines? Is there a forum somewhere for this, or a website?

Anyone else collect car ads from magazines?


I don't collect them per se, but I really do enjoy them. I'm an auto enthusiast, so I get a kick out of looking at them.

I live in Knoxville, Tennessee and there used to be a lot of 'antique malls' in the area. (There still are plenty, but less than there once was.) There was one dealer who had a ton of the old car ads; they were placed on cardboard and wrapped in plastic. I bought a 69 Camaro Pace Car two-page ad from him, and I still have it.

I bought a big stack of late 60s/early 70s magazines a few years back and there are a fair number of car ads in there. I like muscle cars best and, unfortunately, there aren't too many in there. Plenty of VW ads, though - which are funny.
