Anyone know a good source for engine parts, piston rings and valves in particular for a 1977 onan engine, goes to generator model is 6.5-nh-3cr/16000J HOPEFULLY an online source, any help would be appreciated,also engine breakdown.Been to onan website,no tech info at all, just dealership directions.

Do you have the part numbers, or the model number of just the engine?

The model number is the same as above, covers engine and gen set according to manual.

I have had some luck with Onan engine parts through Sears in the past, but that model number does not show up. I will check some of my other parts sources and see if I can come up with anything for you.

Had some luck a year or so ago getting some parts both new and used. Have another look on the engine - pretty sure you'll find another set of number being the actual ONAN Model, Serial No.
