latemodel100 09-17-2006, 04:13 AM I see on their website that they do Carpet oval on Sundays is this the case?
Please say it is true................ Someone from that track let me know please.....
j21moss 09-17-2006, 09:11 AM well they use to..but lately it's been slow.. hope it picks up soon.. need a place to run.. probably need to call them.. however be prepared.... it's a vey small oval.
jsrocket13 09-17-2006, 09:24 AM Hey guy's where's the track at my fincee lives in Brownsburg and when I go to visit I want to take some of my cars.
Thanks Jimmy
yokman 09-17-2006, 10:48 AM the ryn line at the track is 80 feet(i have wheeled it).i have the touring car record at 100 laps in 4 min.the owner catters to the "basher"and not the real racers.....why i don't know?they run the funkiest oval set up tou will ever see.hell they even let you fist fight and the think its funny and ok.i personally will never go back to this track agian and i never even had any problems running oval and onroad there,,,,just not up to my standerd of how a track is susposed to be ran.just my 2 cent worth.
latemodel100 09-17-2006, 02:03 PM THanks Yok,,,,,,,,, I think I can trust your judgement...........
IndyRC_Racer 09-17-2006, 02:15 PM Indy slots is a decent facility that is located in Beech Grove (Indianapolis) on Emerson about 1 mile south of I-465. The location started out as a slot car track. They are still learning how to put on a good r/c show. They currently have a small indoor carpet track, decent outdoor dirt track, and a dirt oval. Not sure if they are racing on the dirt oval yet. This summer the outdoor dirt track had a decent layout for monster trucks.
While they run a different type of program, I do give them credit for trying to have a place that is fun to race at. They listen to input and will run anything if there are racers interested in it. I wouldn't write this facility off as a place to race. I would say that their show is a little loose and may not be for the ultra-serious racer. However, I've raced there a few times and have had FUN.
(Update on Nov. 27, 2006)
The indoor carpet track is much better for oval now. The runline is about 101'. The facility has worked out most of the bugs running an oval show and this is turning into a good place to race. I have raced oval on Sundays here and have had fun.
latemodel100 09-17-2006, 04:05 PM Yeah I just stopped by there today and it looked good, coudl be a great place to get some bull ring racing in.......... the Dirt oval is good, just alittle rough, but with some work it could be great, and the dirt offroad track is HUGE,built for speed that is forsure slong straights........ great facility, I coudl see myself getting some time in there soon, had a few guys there today just fooling around and looked liek they were testing some stuff out, may get down there after the summit test and tune next week.......
jsrocket13 09-17-2006, 05:08 PM Hey Latemodel and IndyRc next time I'm out I'll swing by just let me know about stock brushless or 19t I'll bring one of them out and since it's a bull ring I shouldn't have to change much from my local tracks here in West Virginia.
Jimmy
latemodel100 09-19-2006, 10:45 PM Very nice place, the track is 100 footer, ran there tonight and had some fun, they have hard walls though, LOL........ I was told that this is the new setup and yes the old track was small this one seemed ok sized, ran pretty much the same setup as FOrt Wayne and did ok, they have an good interest in running something on SUnday's and they are open every Tuesday night with the oval....... COme on out, talked with the owner aobut classes, he said what ever class you got to come on out and they will work it form there,
Nice place think I found a home for Sundays and TUesday from now on, LOL.....
smokefan 09-20-2006, 03:43 AM Darrel you got a PM
yokman 09-20-2006, 08:01 AM ya i forgot that they were adding 20 feet to the track this year.if i remember right i went to harder springs up front than FT wayne.are they still making a oval in the infield out of 2x4's or are they just laying one strait down the middle?
latemodel100 09-20-2006, 12:24 PM THe infield is not driver friendly, yeah it is still that linked 2x4 stuff but hey stay off the inside wall and its all good, LOL...... I only smacked it a few times,,,,,,,,
But as of start times and stuff.....
11am - 5pm Sundays and 5pm - 10pm

yokman 09-21-2006, 02:30 PM jerry-what happened with your voodoo deal?i see your now sporting jerri 's stuff.
latemodel100 09-21-2006, 03:33 PM Hey guys from the conversation I had with the owner, we can run anything that is out there I mean we would have to be our own judges and limit to say 4200's, and if enough of us come we can get some good set of rules going, to keep it fair for all that show up..........
In my mind I was thinking of something 4c Stock wise obviously, LOL.........
Any ROAR stock motor, up to 4200 mah, NASCAR body, you know the kinda of stuff at eveeryother track in the country with stock rules.....
I mean we are basically the Pioneers lets make this a great place to run here in Indy and lets go and have some fun........ We will all get used to the inside and be abel to run with out hitting the inside wall............ I was able to get some clean runs in, but of course I was alone most of the time, but it will all come...... Make drivers out of all of us instead of cutting the ICE off........
i will be in contact with the owner quite a bit being he is so close and he is open to OVAL on sundays and Tuesday nights...........
SUNDAY OVAL RACING
TUESDAY OVAL OPEN PRACTICE
Remember there are alot fo other activities that take place there namely slot car stuff so lets stay out of their way and support the local track........... And maybe draw some more interest to our side of the facility........
smokefan 09-22-2006, 03:55 AM jerry-what happened with your voodoo deal?i see your now sporting jerri 's stuff.
Decided on a change. Talked to Jerry and gonna run his motors and batts.

smokefan 09-23-2006, 02:03 AM Darrell any chance on them putting down some "ice" in the corners for oval on Sundays?
I figure between there and the Moose there ought to be some good racing going on.
Jon just break out a pancar and race some 4 cell stock with us. LOL
67-4-fun 09-23-2006, 08:53 AM sorry smoke, but I sold the car only because I am primarly racing in terre haute this year and touring car and stock truck are the big classes. pan no longer exists, nobody run's them. i'll probabaly get back into pan car after the first of the year!!! after the holiday's
latemodel100 09-23-2006, 12:27 PM Smokefan well that is up to the owner, but you can drive around the inside circle pretty easy, I got the hang of it after a few runs, its still a fun little track, and it MAKES YOU DRIVE THE CAR, LOL
smokefan 09-23-2006, 09:02 PM Guess I'm gonna have to head down there and take a look see. LOL

Jon, is it offroad truck or Nastruck?
squeeker138 09-23-2006, 11:53 PM Terre Haute, is dirt oval track Assuming he goes to M&M's. they run stadium trucks.
67-4-fun 09-25-2006, 08:16 PM Jon, is it offroad truck or Nastruck?
Nick, The stock truck is an offroad truck converted for indoor carpet oval racing with foams tires, I still have my velo nastruck.
67-4-fun 09-25-2006, 08:24 PM Terre Haute, is dirt oval track Assuming he goes to M&M's. they run stadium trucks.
the dirt track is an offroad track, I have never been to M&M's track.
squeeker138 09-25-2006, 08:32 PM I'm wrong I was thinking of Lafayette that is where M&M's is, not Terre Haute Sorry for any confusion.
yokman 09-25-2006, 08:55 PM jon-i still have my TC :dude:
67-4-fun 09-26-2006, 12:58 AM jon-i still have my TC :dude:

latemodel100 09-28-2006, 10:47 PM I heard that about working Saturday Nights man, I will be there this weekend on Sunday and then again on Tuesday..............
I work W-S nights so I get both nights to play an have fun at a track somewhere, LOL
I am trying now to get Saturdays off but noone will trade with me right now so I am in the same boat, hope to see you there this Sunday
For Stock I was starting with 1.75+ just gear to temp of motor, most of my stocks are built and run well at 1.80ish nothing firm yet still working with it but getting there night by night maybe with some help from you we can get it right on Sunday.......
Also get ready to play with your chassis, new carpet on one end and old on the other, so loose on one end and alot of bite on the other, but its fun
yokman 09-29-2006, 03:37 PM ok it looks as if you might have some company sunday.i have to get my 2 new cars on the track before next weekends trophy race in ohio and it looks like my new JBR WC'S wont be here untile sat.i will be running 4300,stock, and stock TC if anyone wants to try to race.i will be there at 11:00 sharp so i will see ya then.
latemodel100 09-30-2006, 12:33 PM I will be right behind you in line to get in to the joint at 11am see you there let JBR rule the joint.............. Shoot man with my 3800's I was clicking off some 3.5-3.7 laps times think its still got a few more in the ole Bandit Chassis just have to find it........
huffrcman 10-01-2006, 01:43 PM What is a good tire combo for this track? I am going to try and run down there some this winter. 4 cell stock is most likely what I will run.
latemodel100 10-01-2006, 06:01 PM its hard to say, I am running TM White LR, G2 RR, Black or Dbl Black RF, Gray LF, but I ahve tried different ones also and seem to be about the same, right now with not alot of people running at once......... The G4 Rear is a good starting point adn Whites, but I am just plauin around down here, getting used to it and testing different things with the car and changing bodies and stuff like that, being that I am the only one usually minus Yokman today........................
yokman 10-01-2006, 06:55 PM brian-i ran brushless 4300 but i was running two white rears and a grey LF and a G4 on the RF all TM of course.also ran touring car too rears-purples,fronts purple/orange. i had a good time today and the track is a little bit bigger than last year.i still feel the same about the way it is ran but it is perfect for testing and tuning and getting a little track time in.i will say that we did set the track on fire today with the new JBR WC 4200's.the locals didn't now what to think......deem boys fast.
huffrcman 10-01-2006, 08:31 PM Thanks guys, that will give me a starting point.Hopefully a few more people will start showing up to race.
latemodel100 10-01-2006, 09:23 PM I think the colder it starts getting the more will show up, so tell your friends that on Sundays Indy Slots is the place to be..................
j21moss 10-03-2006, 09:10 PM well Nov. 5th should be my 1st race back.. so 4 cell stock will have to do..Even Talked to Rocket Ronnie Walls..he might show up as well..we'll see!!!
Hi Ronny!!! I know you are on here all the time.. you just don't say anything!!!!
