Kevin LOL Lee Helander & I were just talking about you last week! And we were discussing how much of a great time everybody had last year. You need to try & get over here and race more often-at least race w/us on Nov 11. I'm trying to get Stock Nastruck (short track) into this year's event,as we've been having a strong turnout for that class here lately (7-9 per night).

I think next year will be a better year for racing here and there for me,but I defiantly want to make it out for the Nov. 11 event, had a blast last year, and don't forget I still have last year's pics. on my site (http://www.kevinsrc.com).

Lee,if you have pit space again this year,I would like to join ya :dude: .

Hmm,nastruck on the short track, sounds like that could be some fun, might have both the 11th ;) .Hope to make it out sooner !!!

Kevin Kevin- Just seen your pics from last year again & noticed everyone wearing jackets & sweaters! LOL Hopefully,it won't get too nippley this year, but we're talking November..... BTW,you'll always have a pit space in the "chicken coop" if Lee doesn't show up. Our short track is kinda more along the lines of a Martinsville "paper clip" shape-2 dragstrips w/turns at each end.

Could also be the most deadliest 4 min race @ HW-next to the Insane Speed Run! Time to inspect the walls & maybe install a higher catch fence? LOL
I'll put my $$ on Tom Pedano to take that one.

If the weather on Nov 11 will be anything like we've been having here lately, we should see a repeat of last year's event. Hopefully bigger??? Hmmmm

Un'freakinbelievable! That in a word descibes The 2nd annual Hobby World Turkey showdown. I'm sure somebody will find a negative thing to say about it but you won't hear one from me and I didn't win a class. I almost pulled off while running third in brushless to watch the race for the lead but a third's a third.

Congratulations to all the class winners and remember, There were no losers yesterday, The only losers were the ones who couldn't make it for one reason or another, They lost out on a grand time at Da'Monster!

Man, I had a great time, the track was in AWESOME racing condition, fantastic traction and fast as always..........

The weather would have made Bill France proud ....... not a cloud in the sky about, no humidity and just plain nice.......

I squeaked into the A in 19T and due to some good luck and a MUCH improved race car wound up rounding out the top 5 in the A main ........ thanks to Ernie Bucci for the setup advice right before the main, it worked ! :D

The racing was fast and clean......... ran my personal best at hobbyworld and got to race with some of THE best oval racers in florida if not the U.S. ......and got food with my entry .......thats a beautiful thing!:rollin

Thanks to Bill Sell, Denise, Harold Briley, George Ramos, Tom Marlowe, Hobbyworld and of course my wife Laura for all their effort. It was a fun day !

Congrats to Tom Pedano for making a car running 6.0's and 5.9's at hobbyworld look slow ......lolololol.......AWESOME run Tom !:eek

Congrats to the road course ringer Troy "they call me Boris" Schafer for making the show in 19T.....(the reigning on-road Modified and 19T touring car state champ)

Thanks to RC4Less, SMC, PRS and Hambone Designs for all their support and help during the racing season.

I wont be able to make the Carpet race @ Minnreg on Thanksgiving weekend, but I'll see you all for the carpet race warm-up in January......I'm sure. If I dont see you in the meantime, everyone have a good and safe holiday season.

cya,

Rich Boehmler
