View Full Version : Freddie's Hobbies 2006 ~ 2007 Race Season
Freddie's Hobbies 09-14-2006, 10:29 AM Freddie’s Hobbies 2006 ~ 2007 race season thread. I am sure it will grow and we may need to start a new one by Feb. But so the season begins. Our season will start October 1, 2006. Doors open at 8, racing starting at noon. Our new track is being worked on and, may be finished by spring. Only time will tell. We will race on our track from last year, which proved to do VERY well. I hope to see everyone this year and lets have some fun! :hat:
Freddie's Hobbies 09-14-2006, 10:33 AM Even though the race season hasn’t started. Glen and the boys from NY are coming down to play. From the phone calls I received their sounds like 6-10 guys. If you want to come out and race, will we hold a race. 3 qualifiers and a main this Sunday, just for the fun of it. Lets kick this season off with some FUN!
Toxic1 09-14-2006, 09:27 PM Freddie’s Hobbies 2006 ~ 2007 race season thread. I am sure it will grow...

PM returned Cecil.
erock1331 09-14-2006, 10:17 PM Never like to trump another track's thread, but wanted to throw my buddies at Freddies a invite to the Fall Classic race at Classic on Sept 23rd. If you guys arent holding a race that day stop over and run. Will be a good time. Scheduled classes are
Stock, 19T, Mod and 4300 Brushless. Foam tires too so you dont need caps or anything. Take care and Godspeed
Eric

Our indoor track is fine! Plenty of carpet still in the corners and down the straights. Should be around for years to come. I know I will be there this winter!
Oh and I believe we have the arcor open again this year! No reason to bash other tracks?
Mario.
Freddie's Hobbies 09-16-2006, 07:42 AM Not bashing, just stating Ozite isn't expensive. You guys support your track just as mine to here. My guys know what I do for them. I know what I here from others. enough said. Hope you guys have a good season.

Toxic2 09-17-2006, 06:30 PM Had a great day of racing. Not a big group though. Tom had his stuff together and was beating everyone, until Freddie thought we were playing Hockey and checked Tom into the boards, which allow me to take the lead and win. Hope to see everyone on Oct 1.
Later

iroczcec 09-17-2006, 07:13 PM freddie the hockey player?????? hmmmmmmm that sounds interesting!
So did freddie go more then 68 laps?
Freddie's Hobbies 09-18-2006, 08:59 AM Lets just say it could of, remember it was my first time driving since last year. I had a hard time passing George. It seemed every time I went to pass him we got together, and we both last a few laps :( Sorry George.
But the car was fast I had no problem catching people. It just was that dumb passing thing. We had fun, Tommy and I parked againt the wall all nice and cozy like  Chiquita should of won, but I couldn't let that happen. The first should start another year of fun hope to see everyone then
tharv 09-18-2006, 10:27 AM Yeah, it was date night at Freddie's. He took me to the drive in. Parked me on the board for almost 3 laps. Was almost 2 laps up on everyone, ended up losing by 1. Such is racing with Freddie!!!
See you all on the 1st!!!
iroczcec 09-18-2006, 04:58 PM sounds like the 1st is going to be interesting cant wait !!!! i think i will do the same to jason he likes being banged up!!!

later.
Toxic2 09-18-2006, 09:44 PM Hey Scott
It was just Tom and I running brushless. And then Freddie thinking he could keep up with his stock setup. I managed a 69 in 5min. But Harvey edged me out with a 70. Had a good close race with Adrian though. I have got to learn to keep off the ice. Can't do like F1 and use the curbs.
Hope to see you Oct 1
Eric M.
tharv 09-18-2006, 10:35 PM Hey Scott,
Yep. Just me & Miller running Spec. Brushless. No competition from the stock guys. Adrian only managed a 68 w/ the Princess mobile. I think I'd have had 71 in the main if I hadn't gotten "parked".
Did you hit Steel City for the big race?
tharv 09-18-2006, 10:47 PM But the car was fast I had no problem catching people. Are you kidding??? You ended up 7 laps off of 1st place. You couldn't catch a cold! Hell, GLEN BEAT YOU!!!! You parked me for 2.5 laps & I still beat you by 5!!! You better get some practice in there Kwai Chang Kane.
tharv 09-18-2006, 10:48 PM So did freddie go more then 68 laps?
You've got to be kidding??? Try a 62 in the main. Too busy being the parking lot attendant!!
See you on the 1st?
