Danielle 09-13-2006, 11:49 PM Chad says he might have to run it himself (being that its mod). He's excited for this event........believe me ...if he could he'd be running it! jonnycash 09-14-2006, 12:05 AM I suspect we will see a lot of people barrow rides or build them, just for this race. Danielle 09-14-2006, 12:10 AM Chad said he may "rent" his out.....lol omnis85 09-14-2006, 02:18 AM damn im away for a couple hours and WAM!! BRING IT is all I got to say. LOL, we are going to have a blast no matter what. Sk class is competitive and FUN. Oh god MOD class I will enter that. I have several cars siting on the shelf if someone needs one to RENT for the DAY, if you want the one that went 52-a dollar a lap it did LMAO. Cant wait!!! Casperbase 09-14-2006, 05:56 AM SK Shootout.... It don't get any better then that!!!!! I guess I'll bring both of my SK's (one for each class). I bet the house will be filled for this event. Can someone post the rules for the SK Mod. class? jonnycash 09-14-2006, 07:25 AM I believe these are the rules... readily available s/k chassis, s/k body, weight 2.30, 4-cell, roar legal stock motors, no cutting or re-drilling the chassis, and the windows must be intact. Mod is the same rules except there is no motor rule. Danielle 09-14-2006, 09:02 AM I have a question to throw out at you Jon & Ken, are we going with the 4200's - because thats my instinct, but we dont know how many have purchased those...... PUF19 09-14-2006, 09:06 AM Danielle 4200 have been legal @ K&N since sept 1....... omnis85 09-14-2006, 09:07 AM yes because thats all you can buy as of right now. but who knows around that time 5000mah could be out,LOL but I would say up 4200's if you can still buy them. The new worlds batts are out already so there goes the shv's we just got less than a month ago. and you have a PM coming your way D. Danielle 09-14-2006, 09:13 AM Wait they arent out YET....I think all vendors have to wait to sell them until next week I believe. I know the matchers have them...but my understanding is they cant sell/hand them out yet... omnis85 09-14-2006, 09:15 AM 15th, sorry Danielle 09-14-2006, 09:18 AM Danielle 4200 have been legal @ K&N since sept 1....... Really Nick? LOL Im just teasing.... I know that - you know I know that.... I only meant, we are hosting this event, I had to talk to our sponsors about what is best to run. I realize these 4200's are the new & best; but I dont honestly know how many racers are running them yet, I know everyone WANTS to...but I dont know how many are running them. Like i said my instinct is YES we would run that..but I thought I would ask and clarify it for all of us...... Besides Ive got some HOT deals on some JBR's for anyone looking (lol).... Casperbase 09-14-2006, 11:05 AM Thanks Jon. I will be there with both the RKR Chassis and Pro Chassis. It shold be a good time. Danielle 09-14-2006, 11:49 AM I think we will need to clarify what "READILY AVAILABLE" means.......... Or we have to clarify the rule on chassis...because I can foresee a HUGE problem here. Jon - you, Ken need to talk to us! scott law 09-14-2006, 12:25 PM What are the rules for Mod? SL Mr.K&N 09-14-2006, 12:27 PM good question......Ken K will have the answer. Chad omnis85 09-14-2006, 12:33 PM Open motor rule, you guys would know best on mod motors-any brushed mod motor thats pretty much it for the "mod class" it was thrown in for the event to attrack some of the guys who like SPEED and would be realy neat to see what happens. Chassis, batts and body rule same as stock. The readily availble chassis rule-that I dont know how to address. Most places are following the NEOT tour rules for Sk class and think it should apply to this race but that needs to be ok'd by Mr and Mrs K/N. Danielle 09-14-2006, 03:30 PM ok'd. JBRCells 09-14-2006, 05:42 PM OK Where can I rent a ride? Teddy help??????? Danielle 09-14-2006, 05:50 PM LOL Wow........rent-a-ride...talk to your boyfriend; he's specifically building a kick @ss ride for the mod event; but obviously if he's calling the races he cant drive it... Madball 09-14-2006, 05:51 PM Sounds cool. HMMMMM Nov. scott law 09-14-2006, 05:57 PM Mrs. K/N YGM  Danielle 09-14-2006, 06:08 PM Okay big man; you 2! Mayhem 09-14-2006, 06:08 PM Personally,I would like to see the S/K drivers battle it out without the pan guys stealing thier glory. Its thier gig, let them have thier day in the sun. There will be new batteries out by then that some of the S/K drivers may not have, it would be a shame to let money dictate who runs well at this race. The JBR team is going to field a car that may or may not enter this race, to be driven by a beginner driver, certainly noone that could make the A-main at a big show in pan car, in an effort to promote the class and the batteries and to help a newbie. Do the pan drivers really need a win that bad as to enter this race? I say let the S/k guys race but racing is racing I guess, and I know some would be eager to take on anyone. If that happens, you WILL need a fast 53 lap run to make the top 3 in S/K, because the cars are so lite. On the subject of chassis, we have been trying to purchase the graphite excalibur CHASSIS with the WIDE front end and the batteries on the left for a couple of weeks now, to my knowledge they cannot be purchased. Advantage or not, one-off limited run, inside circle only chassis being run certainly go against the spirit of S/K racing. Pan car has not even got to that level yet. If anyone has one available this week for purchase, please post the retail price and point of purchase out here for all to see. From what I understand S/K racing is supposed to be an entry level, cheap, fun class to groom racers for the faster classes. Not a factory works, limited run, carbon fiber racing parts class that you couldnt buy even if you had the money. As we do have a promotional interest in this class I say make the chassis available 30 days prior to the event. You want to make this class grow? Well you just heard the opinion of someone who wants to help it grow. Danielle 09-14-2006, 06:18 PM wow.... omnis85 09-14-2006, 06:23 PM The s/k class group etc should not be looked upon just as an a entry level class because its not, we are talking about OPEN wheel racing and the cars can be edgey at times. when you run a pan car and rub fenders you almost get OWTF stuff on the drivers stand, when in S/K class you should expect it because you realy cant avoid it at all. Originaly yea it was a spec class but it has evolved into more than just that. As hard as it was to get people involved over the summer in SK's just to tell the pan car guys dont come because its an entry level racing deal is not going to help promote the class at all. The sk class at madness wants to go to 4 cell instead of 6 cell so incase some of the pan car guys might show some intrest in running sk's since they have 4 cell packs. Its not a step down by no means, bob you said you ran them once and walked all over the people, jump in then I am sure you can do it again. its not about that. It is about getting people intrested in racing sk's back to K/N. Entry level would be spec tires, motors, batts etc. I got several emails today from some pan car drivers asking questions what should I buy, setups etc. Now that tells me there is intrest from the pan car drivers, Pros or entry level guys. Doesnt matter come one come all. It will be a good time. and your JBR driver was Kenney Bohem this summer in Sk's and did awesome, hey he beat me and others hands down. Casperbase 09-14-2006, 07:38 PM Ken, Well said..... I think you hit the nail on the head..... Danielle 09-14-2006, 07:38 PM Well we all know how much it sucks to miss and bang your finger....ouch! Not that Im getting involved...just joking around with y'all.... omnis85 09-14-2006, 07:39 PM ALRIGHTY THEN......... Mayhem 09-14-2006, 07:42 PM I didnt mean to de-value the class, but the fact is there are a lot of entry level guys who would be a little upset if the pan guys started pounding all over them. just the natural progression, S/K, stock, 19 T, mod. I know you could hold your own in pan or S/K, Just thinking of guys like Eric who are intimidated to run with the pans.I would love to see a guy like eric or the twins pull off a victory because of a crash or something, if the pan guys invade that could never happen. The stock guys have our own boxing ring of which you are welcome anytime if you want some better competition. Dont really matter to me, I would hate to scare away the newbies. Other than the bodies what really is the difference between pan and S/K? A different group of drivers. What is your opinion on the chassis? omnis85 09-14-2006, 07:53 PM the pro chassis from beefy. Well it is out there and has been run in the Tour races and summer series and some trophy events as far as I know. i personaly do NOT have a problem with it at all, but someone could make a stink about it-(out of towners or even locals) based on the outcome, ex, Oh I came in 3rd because I couldnt buy that chassis. well if it was known ahead of time then the issue should be at the time before racing but its mainly up to the designer or dist to come forth with either a production one or not run it at all. these are fellow racers of ours and will not sit here and say now I have a problem with your chassis because one I dont and if i did have an issue with it, it would have been brought up a long time ago not now. but on the other subject of telling the guys who run pan cars in the A or B or even C not to run I would not say that. I know for a fact some are in the process of puting together cars now or soon. I think that is great. lets work on bringing more into it. Its a class that is fun and competitive. how about trophies for LQ and dead last. LOL Danielle 09-14-2006, 07:57 PM ummmmm...... LOL.... Bill Johnson 09-14-2006, 08:01 PM Alright, with all that crap that everyone said is out of the way, Who has a ride for me, and can you alter the body running Mod........ :dude: Danielle 09-14-2006, 08:02 PM Talk to Chad...he's got major plans for a Mod ride... Danielle 09-14-2006, 08:03 PM As he puts it he's got unlimited building time; time to practice and try out every possible option... Danielle 09-14-2006, 08:04 PM Chad's going to be ordering more bodies...so people can throw cars together... omnis85 09-14-2006, 08:09 PM Alright, with all that crap that everyone said is out of the way, Who has a ride for me, and can you alter the body running Mod........ :dude: exactly, good to see you are going to run.
