ok guys if your like me you are always trying to find newer and better ways to clean your brush hood so i think i found the answer. go down to walmart or your local hunting and fishing store and pick up a 17gauge barel brush. this is what one looks like http://www.sandersonmacleod.com/images/photo-18.jpg the cost is about $1.60 so pick up a few and just when you are at the track or whenever you are cleaning your motor just slide it in and out a few times to scrape off the layer of corosion that may have colected. works best in conjunction with a solvent. I am going to try using a gun cleaing spray that leaves the surface dry and raw metal.
