View Full Version : My visit with the GreenLight Lightningrick 09-08-2006, 09:58 PM Company today. I posted some on my great visit and have a few pictures posted on the GreenLight Garage message boards. http://www.greenlightgarage.com summitdrinker 09-09-2006, 06:17 PM I checked out the pics, thats for posting :) Mark Hosaflook 09-13-2006, 12:37 PM Thanks Rick. I see lot's of potential here. My gut tells me there is a genuine passion for the product. The same type I worked with at PM. I envy you for going and I envy their program, I really do. When they came out I thought I had to take a stand. I could hardly keep up with JL as it was yet try and bring on another brand. I feel that my position will be making a change soon and I will be a Greenie too!:p I'd like to find some of these castings local if possible. I have seen many cars but all of them were at Mike Groothuis' house and I'm betting Rhonda doesn't want me over there any time soon.;) I'm green with envy! pms485 09-13-2006, 01:30 PM I'm green with envy! Quote of the day. :) I have about 60 or so GLs if you'd like to see more. Mark Hosaflook 09-13-2006, 03:07 PM Yeah yeah rub it in. as long as you are the king of the greenies can you answer this? I know GL tries to be more "true scale" meaning the Impala dwarfs a bug etc but regarding the rims and tires, is GL's system the same as JL's where pretty much everything is interchangeable and also, does GL rubber tires fit on JL rims? I do need to do a little research Mike. Is Rhonda going shopping anytime soon? Lpgeoteacher 09-13-2006, 03:10 PM Is Rhonda going shopping anytime soon? Just tell her you need some fertalizer for the Hostas oldmopargerry 09-13-2006, 07:52 PM The GL 67 Impala is outstanding and they have clearly demonstrated they are the industry leader when it comes to their Mustang castings. Their upcoming release of the 63 Chrysler 300 J, 71 Charger R/T, 64 Max Wedge Dodge and 67 Coronet R/T convertible should have more than a few JL collectors making room for these cars in their collections. There was a post started earlier today on the JL board that asked what it was about JL that got you hooked? I, like most of the folks that responded to this thread, was thrilled to find a manufacturer dedicated to authentic representations of the 1:1 cars that conjured up the memories of the Muscle Cars I grew up with. GL has taken 1/64 scale diecast to a new level and they will be releasing new products during the busiest retail season Christmas. The folks at Greenlight have their "eye on the prize" no question about it. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
