Alex
racknok 09-09-2006, 07:25 AM Can you use the GTB or Sphere speed controls now?
bent7117 09-09-2006, 11:16 AM They don't run the GTB or Sphere in the regular classes but if you have a group of 3 you can run your own class.
Alex
Z-Main Loser 09-09-2006, 12:10 PM YES!! The GTB is legal there but not the LRP. Why? Ask them to explain.

Alex
I run a SS speedo in 4300 agianst Gtb's and Lrp's. Not enough difference to matter.
bent7117 09-09-2006, 06:01 PM I wouldn't know either way,last night was the first night I ran brushless.
ToddFalkowski 09-20-2006, 12:09 AM Hey Alex.... Running this Friday night? My son and I plan to be back- I greatly appreciate you racing him clean last Friday, not sure I would've been that nice.... But, thank you...
KenBajdek 09-20-2006, 12:22 AM Hey thanks guys for the post about Pete's:
We have added 4300 GTB 4cell pan car class. I just bought a new chassis and all to travel with. These should be a little slower than the SS 5800 we are running now.
As far as 4 cell stock that is a very small class and you may want to bring a few firends with you . Most of the racers here are brushless. We have a novice class that runs 4 cell stock. I'm not sure what you guys run when you go to other tracks.
Any of those new to brushless just let me know I can help you out Friday.
Todd,
Did you ever find the other shock for your car ?
ToddFalkowski 09-20-2006, 12:36 AM No, I didn't find the other shock... No biggie, though... I have some coming to play with. If not, well, I have an idea.... Haven't given up yet, that'd be too easy....
bent7117 09-20-2006, 04:17 AM I'll be there Friday.Hopefully with my son and nephew.
ETOWNE 09-20-2006, 07:01 AM I have a buudy coming from LaPorte friday to run 4-cell stock.Alex you won't be by yourself.
Eric
ETOWNE 09-20-2006, 07:03 AM Is this the thread for Pete's?
Roadsplat 09-20-2006, 02:00 PM Why isn't the LRP Sphere allowed? That doesn't make sense to me if you allow the GTB and the SS.

Thanks for the heads up Eric, are you running stock and brushless?.
My son will be with me this week.
That makes at least 4 people running 4-cell stock friday night at Pete's.
Alex
ETOWNE 09-20-2006, 09:35 PM Why isn't the LRP Sphere allowed? That doesn't make sense to me if you allow the GTB and the SS.
RC
Pete does this to make it more a even playing ground. If he was to allow the LRP sphere and it dominated, everyone would have to have one to stay w/ the pack. Some guys don't have the money. All Pete is doing is trying to keep racers around.I know it sucks,I myself would like to run gtb/ss4300 in pan car.The gtb is only allowed in sprint car.He has good intentions by doing this.

Alex
Talked to him today, not comming now.I run 4cell brushless.I guess a couple of us are bringing 18th's out if you have one
KenBajdek 09-20-2006, 10:15 PM etowne, the GTB with 4300 is a class at Pete's now. We added this to our established 4 cell 5800 class. We did this to make everybody happy. 40oz nascar body with door and roof numbers and fender clusters 4 cell GTB or SS with 4300. My new chassis and speedo and 4300 are on the way as we speak. It should be here Friday. I will be ready next week with it.
Pete has always had a 3 car rule class. Meaning if you want to run this motor that body 4,5,6,7 cells etc you will have a class to run as long as you have 3 cars.
The LRP speedo thing is just another thing we don't want to add to the mix. Novak stuff is what we run. we have been running Novak brushless since January 2003.
Z-Main Loser 09-20-2006, 10:17 PM The gtb is only allowed in sprint car.
????????? I thought GTB 4300 was going to be a class this season? I'll have to ask Q-Tip to find out for sure.
ETOWNE 09-21-2006, 06:19 AM Sorry guys,I was unaware.I thought Pete would have said something to me seeing as I have a ss4300 car in the works. It will be ready to go next week.
ETOWNE 09-21-2006, 01:48 PM Ken and Derrick,
Ta;ked to Pete today and we're still running ss5800.Like he says, takes 3 or more to make a class.I really didn't build that car to run every friday night. Also I do not want to be part of breaking the ss5800 class up.If some guys show up w/ss4300 cars I will have mine there to race w/ them.I am not trying to start another class though.See you guys tomorrow.
KenBajdek 09-21-2006, 04:41 PM I have no intention to breakup the ss/5800 class. This 5800 class is the primary oval class. 4 cell stock will be the beginner class. If some experienced 4 cell stock guys show up we will split them up from the beginners. I just got my 4300 setup today and have plans on racing it (Fort Wayne, Plymouth or Van Wert maybe?) or if a group shows up in Elkhart. I will run one or the other but not both on Fridays.
Z-Main Loser 09-21-2006, 04:56 PM I just got my 4300 setup today and have plans on racing it
Any BRL races?
KenBajdek 09-21-2006, 05:00 PM I'll have to see when they are and where. But I may go to a few.
squeeker138 09-22-2006, 05:50 AM Here you go Ken. www.brlracing.com
bent7117 09-23-2006, 11:49 AM Last night was a good night of racing. My son won the 4 cell stock class. Thanks Todd For helping him with the stuck brush before the main I didn,t even realize he was having trouble.
Thanks to a couple of Michigan racers for helping me with my car.Turns out every spring on my car was opposite of where it should have been. Now I need more practice(alot more).
Looking forward to next Friday.I am going focus on helping the boys for a couple of weeks trying to keep up with 4 cars is a little bit much.
Thank-you to everyone at Pete's for a great night of racing.
Alex
JOHNNYTANLINE 09-23-2006, 01:38 PM Raced at Pete Russells last night and as usual, a great time was had by all. . . .
Pete, & Travis, you guys allways make us feel welcome, Thanks.
John.
ToddFalkowski 09-23-2006, 03:39 PM Johnny... That car looked good out there... L4 or Silva?
ToddFalkowski 09-23-2006, 03:41 PM I think I had as much fun watching the kids race four-cell as I did any race last night. They all put on quite a show! Even more fun was listening to them bench-race back in the pits, it was hilarious! I thought us adults dogged each other- we don't hold a candle to the kids!!!
KenBajdek 09-24-2006, 12:02 AM Thanks John and Mark for making the trip to Indiana. I will have my 4300 car done by next week and should have a few open weeekends.
Mark thanks for letting my drive your car! It handled really well LOL!!
todd youre right it was fun liistening to the kids.it was nice meeting new people and hope to see you soon.thank you to everyone for the fun nite
ETOWNE 09-26-2006, 06:42 AM Is there anyonyone comming friday night w/ ss4300 cars?Alex and Todd, Your kids had atleast Todd running all over to turn marshall,I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.Friday night was a good time.See ya
ToddFalkowski 09-26-2006, 09:44 AM I'm getting too old for that $@!*!!!! Think I lost ten pounds marshalling..... It was so much fun, though!
looks like 4 or 5 from mich to run 4300.todd,johns car is a silva
bent7117 09-26-2006, 05:10 PM We are gonna be there but I am going to leave my car alone for a couple of weeks until the boys get settled in.
Z-Main Loser 09-26-2006, 07:00 PM I'm going to try my hardest to make it to run 4300. Just need to find a babysitter. Unless she's a hot little 18 year old. Then I definatly won't make it.
ToddFalkowski 09-26-2006, 10:39 PM Count me out for this week... Up in the Boston area working. I did run Maximus earlier tonight, sweet place!
Maybe next week....
ETOWNE 09-27-2006, 06:27 AM I'll be there Friday w/ ss4300 .Derrick quit making excuses.lol.Bring him w/ you,he can race my 18th.
ETOWNE 09-27-2006, 06:48 AM Wait till all you guys see the new donation jar at Pete's.IT will help keep the language down. At only 25 cents for normal cuss words and 1 dollar for the f-bomb.All proceeds go to pizza party at the end of the season. It takes two people to hear you and mainly applies to drivers stand.Let's try to keep it clean guys or we can have one good party, lol
ETOWNE 09-28-2006, 06:40 AM Z-MAIN,find two little hotties and I'm not racing either.lol
KenBajdek 09-28-2006, 03:36 PM I want to clear the air about the cuss word issue. We have had more young children at the track than we have ever had in the past and want to make sure that the adults keep the race track family friendly. It hasn't been a problem in the past but we want to prevent this from becoming a problem. We think that the fines would be make a bigger point.
Thanks
ToddFalkowski 09-28-2006, 05:26 PM I do appreciate the effort to reduce the cuss words... I'm as guilty as anyone else- but hey, we're supposed to be role models....
Thanks everyone!
ETOWNE 09-28-2006, 08:53 PM Ken I want names on the dollars. Then we know who to thank for pizza and beer.Good idea huh.LOL
ETOWNE 10-01-2006, 03:57 PM Had a good time Friday night.
bent7117 10-01-2006, 04:20 PM Friday went extremely well for us, not one broken part.I figured it would go that way since I wasn't trying to do so much at once.
ETOWNE 10-03-2006, 06:06 PM who's running what this weekend?
KenBajdek 10-03-2006, 06:57 PM Just the normal 5800 class and mod.
ToddFalkowski 10-03-2006, 07:26 PM 12th scale road course for me, probably...
ETOWNE 10-03-2006, 08:09 PM Ken,I'm just running 5800 and mini.
ETOWNE 10-03-2006, 08:13 PM Todd,I don't like the comment about guys having to change. You can ask him, thats the last thing I want.
ToddFalkowski 10-03-2006, 08:19 PM Yeah, I didn't either. That's where you have so many problems trying to do a series, and why, frankly, I have to totally respect Pete for sticking to his ground, as really most tracks have done. They have the "bring it and we will race" theory, and it's really the right one. When people start mouthing off that other racers will just have to change, that's just not right. I'm basically preparing myself for everything. When I go out to New England, I can break out the 4 cell stock / 19turn / modified, which I'd still rather run. Around here, that's getting tough to race competitively. So, I'm kinda gettnig ready for anything. Costly, but the price to pay to compete.
