Hello, All,

I'm looking for a carburetor for a Honda G35. This engine is an oldie but a goodie. I was told that it's NLA (No Longer Available). If anyone has a New-Old Stock unit they'd like to sell, please let me know. Otherwise I could use any pointers you might have. Engine starts and runs like a fine watch. When a load is put on it such as to cause the throttle to open wide, the engine goes rich, black smokes, blubbers, etc. It does it with the air cleaner removed. I can shoot a bit of air from the air gun and it will speed up and the governor will close it enough to run at governed no-load RPM, where it runs nice again. I've had this "Blankety blank" thing off the engine, apart cleaned the heck out of it and back on the engine at least 4 times, with no luck. I've run into this with other Honda carbs and the best thing after 4 unsuccessful teardowns is a new carb. If I'm missing something, let me know, all you Honda carb experts. This carb is dead simple and I can find no reason for this condition. Thanks In Advance for any info.

hondas and other japanese engines eat sparkplugs and after many hours of use need a good valve job very good engines very picky about combustion chamber issues
good luck

Thanks! I definitely know about Japanese engines eating plugs. We get lots of Kawasaki powered John Deere and a new plug is standard procedure. Take Care, Bob
