Blingy 09-05-2006, 07:29 PM Too bad it wasnt a 78'Bronco. Ford Bronco's are my fav truck of all time. I like the bronc though. Very sexy!!
60sMetal 09-25-2006, 01:49 AM Nice detail on that one!
zeb41 09-25-2006, 06:18 AM Very cool Brian. Who made that thing?
scrambler81 09-25-2006, 07:39 AM I'm about sure that it is a Matchbox. They released a set of 6 early 4x4s - Bronco, CJ2, Land Rover, Scout, Power Wagon, and I think a Blazer - all in original colors. I have the set. Then they released a set with logos on the trucks, and added things like fishing rods and coolers. I only have the CJ from the second set. The Bronco in the 1st set is dark green, with a white top.

Correct, it was Matchbox that made these. As Scrambler mentioned, they made a set of 6, a very neat set of cars by the way I might add. I'll snap a picture of the chassis later, its completely accurate to an Early Bronco suspension and drivetrain. It was these broncos and the JL broncos that got me into diecast.
STUTZ 09-25-2006, 11:04 PM Any idea what year it was made?
scrambler81 09-26-2006, 07:26 AM That was one of the last sets before Tyco sold Matchbox, so when was that? I don't remember at the moment, but I'd guess about 5 years ago. Some of those 1/43 Matchbox Collectibles castings show up in WalMart from time to time, but they're not detailed out as well as the original, direct mail pieces.
chriscobbs 09-26-2006, 08:30 AM The green Bronco originally came out in 1999, followed by the Marlin a year or two later, then the red Bronco in 2002.
Being a fisherman myself, I think that is really cool. Nice find
YellowBronc 10-05-2006, 03:41 AM Picture of the chassis, its extremely detailed and as accurate as can be!

StreetFreak 10-05-2006, 09:15 AM WOW!
I never saw this one or the red one mentioned. I really like the opening rear tailgate and the fishing poles...what more could a guy ask for!
Thanks for sharing, and by the way...NICE pics!
