We'll I went to visit my friend, Lendell Peery (fordcowboy) of Mid-Missouri today. I met him through HOWL when we both realized we were only 60 miles away from each other. When you live in the middle of nowhere and know of no fellow slotters in your area, 60 miles doesn't seem that far. To say the least I was overwhelmed. He has a 40 x 40 utility building filled with slots. A couple of routed road courses, a couple of oval tracks ( one which has to be over twenty feet long with banked curves on each end) and a dragstrip complete with christmas tree and timing system. Makes my little 16 x 4 roadcourse look like peanuts. And then there's the cars. He has every JL car on display (pullback and slots). Plus various other pre and post 1970 slot cars on display. I thought I had a collection until I saw his. While my head was still spinning, he started pulling out case after case of JL slots. Some which have never been opened. Not to mention chassis, parts, tools and bodies, lots of bodies. I've never seen so much stuff in one place and told him he could probably open up a hobby shop. We had a good time talking slots and I hope he invites me back so we can do some more racing.

Joe,
That's awful kind of you to say. I'm glad you dropped in, it was great seeing you. You are welcome anytime. Now that I've pretty much recovered from my wreck I can get back out there & get some things done. That way when you come back, there'll be something new to see.
