Here's more news on those Disney Racing, Pirates of the Caribbean diecast oddities. If you find them, grab them quick. Attached are photos of known ones.
Disney POTC boneracers
1:64 Diecast cars
Dickie Spielzeug GMBH Germany
According to the dude at Kmart, it seems these were released in limited quantities across Europe and Australia to coincide with the movie. They were never released in the USA. Here in Australia they are really hard to find. Hopefully there are more in Europe.
These boneracers are totally original looking and super cool. They have no funky Pirate names or series number. To make it easier for collectors I have named and described the 10 cars that I personally know about or own. If you own any different models, let me know and we'll add it them to the list.
Photos of the first 5 cars are attached to this post. The next five pics will be attached to the next post.
#1 Roaring Ribcage - Complete ribcage with red bonnet that is decorated with a small skull and crossbones. It has a metallic grille and steel mag wheels.
#2 Steel Skull - Angular metal skull. Steel paintob with red painted driver and passenger windows. Black air intake and blood red grille. Steel mag wheels.
#3 Bearded Skull - Aged human skull mounted on the chassis. It has big black eyes and a long brown beard. The jawbone is the front grille. Steel mag wheels.
#4 The Scorpion - Looks like a scorpion skeleton. Steel mag wheels.
#5 Finger bone - A single aged finger bone extends from the back to the front of the car. Steel mag wheels.
#6 Aztec Samurai - Steel Japanese samurai head with moustache and beard as bonnet. Very cool gold Aztec skull mag wheels.
#7 Celtic Woodblade - Flattened, mummified Celtic figurewith long brown hair and beard. Could be some sort of treasure chest. Gold Celtic mag wheels
