Sonny Hope this isn't a dumb question but which way are the roof numbers suppose to face

I don't think it really matters for R/C racing. If you want it to be accurate with full scale oval racing the bottom of the number needs to be on the drivers side. This allows the spotters in the control tower to read them on the backstretch.

OH MAN! And all this time I thought it was so the fans watching the race at home could tell where their favorite driver was from the airborne TV cameras!

Does not matter to me but as Chad mentioned bottom of the number to the drivers side is the most traditional way.

About the numbers on the roof... Yes tradition does have that way, but in RC maybe we should change it so people on the outside of the track can read it. Just a thought.

Full size short tracks around my area simply require that the roof # faces the scoring tower. Most of the tracks have the scoring tower outside and couple have them in the infield. I also think its a good idea to have them facing towards the outside so people can see them and the scoring is done from outside the tracks. Just a thought.

Jenzo the roof number can face the inside or the outide of the track. Does not matter to me as long as it has a number.

Hey Jenzo, maybe you should paint it so you can read it while you're upside down.:D

It has to be a big race car for you. Did that 4 banger have enough power to get you around the track? Glad you had fun this summer and hope to see you soon.
