Joseph Stefano, co-creator of THE OUTER LIMITS and the screenwriter of PSYCHO died last Friday.

Another highly creative talent gone. Until I read the obit, I had no idea that, in addition to being a movie and TV screenwriter, he was also a musician, composer, singer and dancer! A veritable Renaissance Man. Of course, we sci-fi geeks will always remember him as co-creator (with Leslie Stevens) of the original Outer Limits, and writer of some of its best episodes.

"There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. We are controlling transmission . . ."

I have been watching Outer Limits Season 1 DVD's all this summer (and also the haunting Shatneranto flick "Incubus" written and directed by co-Outer Limits guy Leslie Stevens). Sometimes it seems that whenever I get on a "kick" with one of these elder statesmen they end up kicking the bucket around the same time.
