Ok, here they. The final product. I received a set of the first 6 cars that will be in stores.

We've seen the packaging, so I only took one pic to show you how they are displayed in the blister. Both doors are held open, the hood is up, and the cars sit on a chrome mirror base/back. The cars are wired to the base to stop them from rolling:

The doors and hoods are tight, but not too tight to open. Just right to hold themselves open. They close with a positive movement, and you don't have to jiggle them to align them.

Ok, I called Amy as soon as these arrived to find out about in store dates. The best answer I can give you is that they are on the boat. So I would expect them in KMart in a few weeks.

Patience--these are worth the wait!!

They look good.. still K Mart only? Not going to be in the Shelby store?

Just checked out a nearby K-Mart last night. Nothing yet! Did not even see any allotted peg space available yet!

I have a feeling that my local K-Mart wont carry these, they haven't had the Greenlight vehicles yet and have a poor selection of JLs, just tons of HW's, but if they do carry these WATCH OUT, stay out of my way.

Hey Dave and PDX, don't be put off by no peg space at the local K-mart. The Greenlight issue is that it was a very limited trial program. Out of 10 marts in my area, only saw them at two. And both were just on a peg hook in the middle of the cars. No lable in sight. So don't give up hope. When they land, someone will post and off we all run.

Also, just in case someone did not undersand, the beautiful 2 car display by Grayhouse is not from the new cars coming out. That is a custom made display and set by himself! And it is freaken' AMAZING! Now that I would buy at Kmart!

Vadim ; sponsor the new 1:43 forum advised me that K-Mart has a countrywide warehouse strike which has bee ongoing since end of last month!
No doubt this is stopping the Shelbys from being put on the pegs for the time being!

Well, no Kmarts anywhere here in Houston, so if anyone finds an extra set, Ill gladly send money and a little surprise! :D I want this whole set badly!!!

Saw 5 differnt 1/18 Shebys at Kmart today - blue Cobra 427, a couple GT500, GT350. Yellow, Black, Metallic red and something else. Really nice looking but I already have too many other toys especially at $25

The 1:64 Shelby's are supposed to retail for $2.99. A great price considering the level of detail and features going in to these.

It would be a great price if they ever showed up. Weren't they due in stores in August?

Yep, sorry bout' that. I guess jlspec and I got side tracked, but the point I was going for was that the 1/18 we're now in the stores, so the 1/64 can't be far behind!

I stopped at Kmart tonight and came across a few of the 1:18 Shelby collectibles. Very nice cars for the price......I just hope that means the 1:64 versions show up soon. The anticipation is killing me. By the look of the number of views of this thread.....I'm not the only one who can't wait for these to arrive.

I picked up the Yellow GT 350 R yesterday. Very nice detail for the money. It was 24.99 at my K-Mart. I think the local K's are putting new stuff out in conjunction with the upcoming Hot Wheels day. I know one thing, if these 1:64 Shelby's are there, I'll be bringing more of these home than I will Hot Wheels.

I just saw a handful of the 1/18 Shelbys at K-Mart about an hour ago. They had a blue 1966 GT350, and a red 1966 GT350R. Those cars appeared to be color chrome, are they all like that? It wasn't bad looking, but I would prefer a more normal looking paint color. I chose to skip the $24.95 price tag, and I'll keep an eye out for the small ones.

I thought the paint looked kind of chromey too. I wonder if this is just a Kmart thing. I've seen photos of these cars from other sources and the paint didn't have the chrome look to it. Even with the chromey look, that paint sure was pretty and the stripes looked nice and clean.

Anyone have any luck with the 1/64's yet?

I have seen the 1:18 scale but, still no 1:64 scale cars here. :cry:

Uh oh... that means my East Bremerton WA Kmart will never get any... :(

Well, I guess that leaves me out as well considering my North Stockton CA store is gonna be torn down come the first of the year. We do have a store on the south side, but since I don't own a flack jacket....a must for South Stockton, it's highly unlikely I'm gona be getting any cars in the near future :cry:

Any word on these yet ?? My Kmart has nothing yet .....

Every K-Mart around my area has had the 1:18 cars for a few weeks now. Have not seen any of the 1:64 cars :confused: Hopefully soon :)
