Johnny lightning is making monster trucks with sticky rubber tires. I'm not sure how many sifferent ones they make, but they do Bigfoot and Snake bite(die-cast bodies). The real story is these tires! Soft and sticky! Hotwheels is making Gravediggers with plastic bodies too! I won't be producing my trucks again, but I might be able to upgrade trucks you've bought from me(as I get time) or help with tips on building your own. Check the pics.

Mr. Yoder...
There were a couple of webites that had pics of "off-road" style race tracks. One was more like a truck-pull style track and another was more of a rally-style. Would you know of any sites like that? I lost the links after a hard drive crash last year and can't for the life of me find them again. They could have even been one in the same or maybe they had each other's links available. These were a couple of my fav surf spots. Especially the rally one. Kind of almost looked routed and then surfaced somehow. Nicely detailed.

Not something I'm too interested in, but can those tires fit the Marchon monster trucks?
Mtyoder, you're about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Richfield? If you don't find any U-turn chassis by then, you'd find them at the Richfield slotcar show held on halloween.

Hey Dave, quite sure it's this website, no ??

At bottom of the page there are cool links to the Monsters, Pullers and Off-roads....Liked that site too and if I had more spare parts, think I would try to build an Monster truck: I love the idea
Just send me some TycoPro wipers ass'y for the great find :-)

Probably fit a marchon. The axle is square on those so you might have to super glue or epoxy them on. Probably need to drill them out a bit. Marchon, don't get me started on those trucks! Here's a pic. of mine! :dude:

Yes... that's one of them. Nice site with monsters. Love the track pics. I guess that rally site will continue to elude me though. Thought they were both together. thanks very much...dave

I have the Marchon trucks and they're fun to run sometimes. I really like mtyoder's truck... but I was wondering. Why did you use a U Turn pick up system? Wouldn't a old tyco pro or riggen system work as well, plus be hidden more?

The u-turn pickup works great and dosen't require a spring loaded swing arm. It also allows the trucks to spin 180 and head the other direction like the cars. If you modify the truck a little and have enough room the trucks are capable of 360 donuts. I got one to do 7 rotations, was pretty cool. A custom truck I built would do donuts with one front tire in the air just like a real one. Lots of articulation in the chassis on that one.
