Hello all,
I have a savage and I'm looking to upgrade the engine. I want an engine that will hold it's tune and is easily tuned and started.I also want an engine that is more powerful (low end, mid range, and top speed) than the stock .25. Here are a couple of engines i was thinking of:
Axial .32,
Axial .28,
sure fire .32,
Collari .32,
Collari .30,
Hpi k4.6,
O.S .30
any suggestions would be great. thanks

out of those, the only one i see that will " hold a tune " is the os 30. how about piccos ?? the 27 and the new 28's are nice !! no matter what, you will have to tinker with your carb screws on just about any motor.

You forgot the Mach .26. Very reliable, easy to tune & plenty of power without destroying the drivetrain. Oh yea, and they are only about 130 bux.

I'm thinking I want to go with the sure fire .32 because I have only heard good about it and I was just wondering how fast my savage would go with it?

the bigger you go, generally the more rpm you lose and more hp you get, 28 or 30 is the highest id go myself, i had the zilla motor, it was not fast, but it would rip grass outta my yard like none other !!

The sf 32 does rev up to 38000 rpms I think that is pretty high for a 32. I can also change the cb and spur gears for more top speed. but if that isnt very fast (40-45 mph or more) than what 28 or 30 would be reliable and be faster and still be able make may 3 speed savvy stand on two wheels easily. thank you
p.s. anyone with a sf 32 can you please tell me if it is a good engine and how fast my savage would go. thanks
