Well, just had 2 of these open up in my area this past week, so I went in 1 of them by my work Friday Evening to check em out (i heard they had JL's before). And they did, lots of JL's (but only 2 series, the Muscle Cars witht he tin can, and monopoly) but they had em nonetheless... So today I decided to go to the other one that opened up, not that many JL's at all... but i did see somehting weird...

GREENLIGHTS! and LOTS! of them. Shelves filled witht he 1:24 pace cars for $5.99, and more shelves of the 1:24 Indy Cars, and a gajillion pegs full of "New York City" cars? had like mini cooper's and hummer's and stuff, and a corvette with "I (heart) NYC" on the trunk.

Just giving people a heads up if anyone is looking for this stuff and has one of these Ollie's places near ya!

I'll agree with that, there was about 7 pegs wide, and the entire height of the shelf full of them (plus they are on small cards which are about the same size as HW's)

The thing that got me is that they appeared to have plastic bases on them... AND i don't see them anywhere on their website... weird

i see everyone really hiped on this greenlight stuff. well.....maybe it will work for them. but, here ollies is loaded with irl cars of 1/64 and 1/24 scales. about 20 to 25 each of indy pace cars from like 2004 and 2003, so many i don't remember. over 150 of the chrome castroneves indy 1/64 car celebrating his win. they will be there forever. people here could careless. and they will have to do something with those new york cars, they take up so much space. and i failed to mention, beside the castroveves cars, are easily 200 sam hornish 1/64 cars taking up about 20 pegs. it's so bad, i found johnny lightnings in the bedding department today. found a white lightning though! and 2 hemi 10 car packs with coronet white lightnings. you never know what they will get in, or when.
the k-mart got in a case of 12 green light garage cars. 1/64. over 3 weeks ago. $3.99 each, and all 12 are still there. folks here can't pay $2.99 let alone $3.99. it's a joke. and lord knows there must be 40 1 bad ride cars in k-mart.
amazingly, the pro rodz and gridez maisto item sold. and john deere stuff flys off the shelf.

Guys, SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THESE! There is no Ollies down here in the south, so I have no access to cheap Greenlights. If someone is willing to help me out and pick some of these up ( only 1/64 scale in indy and maybe the New York cars) I would be thrilled!

I have lots of good traders, and I can post pics for you. Just looking for some help. I guess the first thing is how much are the cars. That will decide how much I can buy! Thanks for the help.

I seem to remember a post somewhere that the cars at Ollies are from the first generation of Greenlight cars that were made by various manufacturers before they settled on the current one. They had a bunch of Indy style cars and the 1/24 Pace Car Camaros here

The same early GL stuff was showing up at KB Outlets. Not the same quality as the current GL products.

Out on Laskin? I haven't made it out that way but may try to get that way this weekend. If the hurricane does not force the ship to get underway.....

yea, the one in the Food Lion parking lot behind Capt Georges

Although they don't have the new releases of cars. As far as the 1:64 goes, they only had the New York City cars. and a few indy cars, but did have alot of 1:24 Corvette Pace Cars

(they also had a 1:18th ERTL(i think) 1967ish Mustang Pace car also, the one in military circle has it also, just no GL's)

NOPE....None at the KB Outlets near me. Only one in my area, and it had 2 year old JL stock ( still at $2.89 each!). I drove there today on the advice that they may be selling the GL Indy Stuff.

Come on guys, no one willing to help a brother out? I will send money first, so nothing out of pocket. But I still need to know what the Indy rides are going for, ( So I will know what I can afford!) Le me know if you can help.

I just want a chance to add to my indy stuff at a good price.
