If anyone is interested, R/C Madness is having a race on Sept. 2nd. The race is indoors, not sure on the battery ruling, Chris was not open when I tried to clarify that. Bring them both to be safe. 4200's 3800's

Mike - It is close to the track, it is located next to a truck stop. Never been in any of the rooms, but I would think it is comparable to the Econo Lodge.

I pay 69 + taxs for the Econo Lodge down the street...I get the goverment rate..I don't know if Heath talked to the mangerment at the Econo Lodge about the 20% discount he had there last year...The regular night with two adults with one bed is $99.00 per night plus tax.....Theres a park an ride down the street from the track...lol

Yeah...That 20% discount in April would have been great - if I didn't leave it with my gear in Maximus after Heath closed! Mr. Econo refused to honor my discount even though I showed him some RC parts....he just had to see my laser printed coupon! Lesson learned - put coupon in money clip before leaving the house. Room was surprisingly clean for an Econolodge and two minutes from the track.

If anyone needs a place to stay, my home is like 40-45 minutes (doing 90mph lol) away from Maximus. I am either driving home saturday night or staying at my older brothers house (in portsmouth) so I can be 5 minutes from the track for the race on Sunday but if anyone needs a place to stay, let me know. I offered it before for the Iron Maximus II. Anyone can stay @ my home (instead of $100 a night for a hotel), Except if your name begins with N and ends with K and last name "Leone" LOL just kidding big guy! See you guys tomorrow for some Tuesday night racin'

Boy I wasn't able to stay for the mains yesterday but the BAT looked very strong in stock. Both he and Hanson were carrying the 58 lap potential deep into their runs. I'm sure that the 58 lap mark will fall at the SOS. So it looks like, if you want to win the SOS you had better do your homework, because the competition has been.

Hope to see everyone soon,
Tim

and to think last year you needed a good 54-55 to be in the A. already it sounds like you will need a fast 56/57 to be in the SHOW. See you guys there. cant wait for this race.

In my opinion............ I think it's going to take a 57 lapper to get into the "Show" at the SOS. On a green track the bat hit a 57 lapper this past weekend. With more cars on the track, the track conditions will only get better. I could be very wrong but hey it's an opinion!
