Hi,

I am a big Green Machine fan and like this program quite a bit.
So far all the regular issue lines have had green body as the Green Machine
characteristic. The promo cars have had green hubs and base (not including the unusual HAN Impala) We have only seen three release (Corvettes, MCG
and MCG Stk & Cust) so things may change regarding what the GM's look like.
My question is do we want them to change or stay the same? Do I want
58 GM's that are all Green body color three years from now. I am not sure
if I do or not. Variety is always a big plus in a collection. I would like to
know what the board thinks should happen regarding this program?

Go with Greenlight!

Regards, Andrew

Personally, I like the green bodies. The emerald green metallic just shines. However, the green base of Milezone's Mustang is incredibly unique. Great stuff!

I myself prefer green bodies over some unrealistic characteristic such as green bases or white tires, to me they still have to look like a miniature of a 'real' car.

The only JL white lightnings I really like are the white bodied versions. While I like the Milizones BWF Green Machine Mustang I prefer the green bodies.

I think what he is getting at is this, Latest relaes of say the Mustang... well next release tdown the road, what you going to have? another green mustang that looks the same as the previous one?

Makes since to me to try to mix it up a bit, but also understand the favoritism's of the green bodies also. (my fav WL's are the white bodied ones also like most people's). But if thats all they did, every single WL would look the same thru the different releases of the same casting.

bring on the 442!!

This is exactly how I feel. I never cared for the Jl white lightnings with white rims or tires and the white base was Ok, as long as it wasn't visible from the sides too much. I sold every WL I ever had, preferring the "normal" version instead. I love the shade of green GL has chosen for the Green Machines. If we need some variety, how about white with a green interior, or maybe green pinstriping, just not something odd like green tires or wheels.

I like the Green pistriping idea. How about a green windshield?

something needs to change on these. You can`t do a green one every time.Maybe do a different shade of green for a while but the colors should change but keep the tires black like a normal car would be.You could have different green/chase characteristics like different colored interiors, tinted windows,`green machine` on the tires, mod top chase versions on some mopars, black chrome paint, black chrome motor and wheels, green undersides, even the ocassional gold.
There are all kinds of choices that can be used of different series just don`t copy JL with mostly white stuff.

Good thread! I'm still not hot on colored tires or green interiors (evokes images of something a circus clown would come rolling out of :jest: ) but subtle things I love!

Like the previous green pinstriping idea - in a nice metalic green.
OR
Black bodies with metalic green ghost flames....coooool

The reality is that for the most part what they're doing with green bodies actually works even if they do it on a 'classic' model as it's better than some other green oddity.

I liked the first Green Machines with the green body. I agree something has to change, not every Greenlight chase car from here on can have a green body. A car with a green windshield and windows with a green chassis that we can see in the packaging would be nice. I would also like to see a car with a green body and a green chassis, and a car with a green body and a green windshield and green windows too.

My hopes are that we don't see a lot of recycling of the same castings so that this does not become a problem.

I would be willing to bet that we see the same castings in different colors and different wheels. In MCG there two different colors of each car that had a production run of 2500 for each color. In series II there was a stock and custom of 2500 each.

So that would mean that each mold was used 10,000 times (2500 x 4). Not very many times for a 1/64 scale to make money for the company.
