Topper era scrap (1969-1971?), parts, wheels, deformed bodies...and some cool stuff also. I've wanted to post some of these pictures because I thought some collectors might find them interesting. The casting bodies are all unspun and some are deformed. The bases have not had the axles staked on...so they're sort of cool in a weird way also. If anybody can shed some light or info on Topper employee junk I'd much appreciate it. BTW...everything here is in my collection so NOTHING here is for sale.

Well I can't shed any light on these for you, but I sure think they're cool. I sure wouldn't mind having something like this on my own collection.

Is this some of that stuff sold on ebay the past few months? I picked up a couple of the so-called car kits, ones I could snag at a reasonable price. The only thing they had wrong is that they put '69 redline tires with every car, so not all of the tire styles are correct for the castings, but still cool.

I tried to get some info out of them, but they seemed reluctant to talk much about it. Did anyone get a story out of them for where these parts came from?

They told me that they were trying to restore some toppers and had a friend who knew somebody who had worked for topper. They had recieved a 35 pound box of topper stuff from this person and were selling off what the didnt need. I couldnt believe that some of the "kits" were bringing more than original minty cars would. I ended up buying lots of wheels, axles, turbine bubbles and various engines and windshields. They seemed like really nice people.

Moparmarck...just totally incredable!!!

Karen...the seller of the junk I bought on Ebay did have 'one' Custom Charger base. That's the closest I'll ever get to having one of those Chargers...WOW!

Of course you meant "Costom Charger" since Topper didn't know how to spell Custom on the Charger base...:D.. I sure wish I knew the story behind the box of scrap metal that was sold as a "buy it now" item on eBay! (http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-1606754-2202639) http://www.awltovhc.com/image-1606754-2202639 (how the person ended up with it, how it stayed out of circulation for 35 years, etc)...what a lucky find for lil pegwin.
