Gerald...that's a great find. BTW the green is an "Alternate" color...most of those Mavericks were dark blue.

I always 'thought' that the post 1972 Mavericks were re-named "Street Snorters" until reading your post and checking mine. Good info there :)

That was my original thought, but then it didn't look like the gap was thick enough for a penny....dang!

hey, I had that Maverick in that color like a zillion years ago.

I think I colored it black with a permanent marker. :rolleyes:

Man, that's an ugly casting, don't trust a plastic toy company to try and make a die cast car!

The red stripes on the wheels look rather cool, but they can't match the lovely spoked wheels on the Matchbox version.

For $1 it works for me. I have the matchbox version as well.
