Hi Guys!
Question for you.........
What is the deal with the model motoring website?
I have heard good and bad in the past regarding people purchasing their cars and such with issues in regards to their chassis they are using.....
Has anyone purchased from them lately?
Your impressions good or bad?
I haven't seen much mentioned about them on the hobbytalk messageboard.
I want to pick up a few of the '67 chevelles they sell but am unsure if I should buy them directly off their site or wait and buy them second hand through a dealer at one of the slot shows.
I am abit leary of model motoring based off of the rumors I have heard regarding them......
Any of your insites regarding purchases from them would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I have had overall very good results from their web site. That said I won't buy chassis from them as they still have in their inventory the crappy ones. Buy their bodies and put a NOS TJET chassis from JAG Hobbies, SCJ, RTHO or Thunder Oil under them. I have purchased chassis from everyone mentioned here except SCJ but I have traded with John for other stuff. There are some other online vendors that are good too.
I mainly buy guide pins, stock tires, bodies and some other odds and ends from MM.

There seem to be a few ebay sellers who have a ton of MM bodies for sale for cheap. Buds HO is one of them. MM might be using these guys to dump inventory since MM was apparently unsuccessful at getting someone to buy their company in the past year.
Ebay seller modelmho is actually model motoring and has been selling off MM bodies and part of his Aurora collection.
You'd be safer getting MM bodies off ebay and sticking someone else's chassis under them.

Just like Dan said, Budsho always has lots of 3 or 4 cars at a time and they usually go pretty cheap.

I like their bodies a lot. Their replacement glass is first rate. Their first round of chassis were really poor, but the second round of them ran were much better. I like putting their bodies on JL tuff one chassis with either RRR Rims or original Tjet rims.
I'll use MM's chassis for cars on have in display.
The prices are good too. My only complaint is that they don't have a wide enough variety of bodies to choose from. They have some other cool stuff too... like posters, curved beachers and original MM lock and pin replacement track.

Hey Guys!
Thanks for all your input and insites regarding model motoring.
I think I will go with my original instincts and just buy them second hand through Buds HO like I was originally intending to do.
I like the idea of just buyin the bodies and putting my own chassis under them myself.
I had heard in the past that MM had issues with their chassis and just wanted to reconfirm it first here with the board before I decided to purchase from them.
Thanks again for all your help!
It truely is appreciated!!!

I have purchased some bodies as well as complete cars from MM. No problems.
