View Full Version : Fall Classic at Classic Hobbies
Carpet Assasin 08-13-2006, 02:29 AM The Fall Classic to set for Sept 23rd. I talked to Walt today and confirmed it. The track was awesome this weekend, thanks to Walt. The track was flooded last weekend and had no bite, but Walt cleaned it and we had tons of bite. Great night of racing and perfect track conditions. Also, this is a 1/10th scale event, so there will be no 1/4 scales. They will have their race the following weekend.
If anyone has questions feel free to contact me anytime. More info to come.
Mario.
Forgot to mention, plenty of pit space indoor and we have a huge parking lot in the back for Trailors and pop up's. Also plently of power hook up's for Electric.
BEACH 08-13-2006, 08:17 AM Thanks Mario, look for a bunch of us WillowMill'rs to show! Always a great event.
OH, since I am the first to post, I will ask the question everyone is going to ask.....What batteries will be legal for this event?? 3800's or 4200's?
Thanks, Beach
Carpet Assasin 08-13-2006, 01:44 PM Beach,
As of right now, I believe 3800 for stock and 19 and Mod is open. I will check with Walt ASAP and let everyone know.
Also, I dont remember if the new lights were in affect last year but, Walt added a new huge light on the back stretch. Man do the cars really shine at night!!!
And as always. Walt will have practice the day before. For anyone that needs hotel info or the address to the track let me know. I believe he will be open till around 8ish the night before!
Mario
Can't wait always a good race, I'll be there for sure

Guys, 4200's will be legal for the classic.
I confirmed with Mario 4200's are legal for all classes.
Carpet Assasin 08-16-2006, 07:30 PM I believe we follow Arcor rules and Arcor is making 4200 legal Sept. 1st. However, this is our own deal so whatever Walt wants to do is up to him. But 4200 are legal all classes!!!
See ya there......
Im going to talk to Walt, Sat. and see about some trophy's for the winners. I will help out if I can. So ROLL CALL............ Who is planning the trip?
Mario.
rccarpy 08-16-2006, 10:15 PM I'm pretty sure I'll be there............Mod. of course!

I believe we follow Arcor rules and Arcor is making 4200 legal Sept. 1st.
Mario: Where did you hear that about 4200's becoming legal Sept. 1st? Just curious? They are legal in Modified, have been since they came out. No mH rule in Modified.
dancingd 08-17-2006, 10:02 AM Hi JB....:)
Got Delivered 08-17-2006, 10:34 AM Beero, I will not be there.

To be honest, I cant really remember where? When will they be legal for all?
Thanks,
Mario
Beero 08-17-2006, 11:51 PM thats too bad zig, its looking like this will be a good one.
Mario: No set date, so it's up to the racers when they want them in the Stock and 19T classes. I think that most wanted to wear out their 3800's first, thus the vote not to allow them last March in 19T. Carpet season basically starts Oct. 1st, and I would imagine that ROAR will apporve them for January 1st. Which breaks down to this..when do the racers want them legal?
Carpet Assasin 08-18-2006, 04:36 PM Well, some racers asked me about the 42's and wanted them legal for our Fall CLassic race. So I asked Walt and he said sure. So they are legal for all classes next month at the Classic!
Thanks,
Mario
Got Delivered 08-18-2006, 05:51 PM Beero: I am sure that it is going to be a great race. I have had a great time at the Classic Hobbies, Fall Classic the last 2 years. I am actually going to take some time off from racing for a while. Hope the race goes well.

Hey JB,
The 4200's wont "Officially" be Roar legal till Jan 1st. But with all the Nationals being done for the year Roar is allowing 4200's at regional races as long as the Region Director ask for it. The 3800's were discontinued August 1st by both importers and are no longer available to even match any more.
I do believe that next near Roar will change the way/time batteries are approved.

Carpet Assasin 08-18-2006, 09:05 PM Zig,
