Brian F 09-04-2006, 11:05 PM Hey Guys,
Here is the Fall / Winter racing schedule at Victory RC in Green Bay. I’ll post the entire schedule, please note the oval schedule. Had to make a bit of an adjustment to Hock's last post.
Tuesday Road Course... new season begins 9/12/2006.
Thursday Oval... Begins 9/7/2006.
Saturday Road Course begins… 9/9/2006.
Mondays: Road Course Practice Open at 4PM.
Tuesdays: Road Course Racing. Open at 3 PM, Racing at 7PM.
- Stock Rubber Touring
- 19-Turn Foam Touring
- Stock 12th Scale
- Vintage
- There’s a TON of Mini-T’s out there so we will have a class for them also!!
- Stock Foam 10th Scale Truck
Wednesdays: Oval Practice, Open at 4PM.
Thursdays: Oval Racing. Open at 3PM, Racing at 7PM.
- Stock (Will include stock brushed motors and Novak 13.5 Brushless motors) The new BRL League has rules for this class for a body with no wing and the rear intact. We will allow the class to run a regular body and a wing like the 19-turn / 4300 class.
- There is also a ‘Late model’ class that some racers run at the Triclone on carpet with dirt wedge bodies. I think this is a beginner’s class. Maybe one of the Triclone regulars can fill us in as we would like to include the class up here also.
- 19-Turn / 4300 Brushless
- Open Mod / Brushless (Not for the faint of heart!)
- Foam Mini-T’s with oval bodies.
- Stock Foam Truck.
- Stampedes
Friday: Road Course Practice, (Unless there is an oval event planned for Saturday. We will always try to have the track configured to the racing that is happening the next day.) Open at 3PM.
Saturday: Road Course Racing**. Open at 9AM, Racing at 1PM.
** There will be some Special Saturday Oval races we will be doing throughout the Fall and Winter season on Saturdays. These will be posted and advertised in advance.
-This is new 80’ x 35’ CRC carpet.
-Pit space for 80+
-Full line R/C hobby shop.
-Very easy to find off HWY 41
-4300 max on the batteries.
I’ll be posting the dates for the upcoming Oval events including a BRL event, the Billie Bob Series and at least one other event I can not mention as of yet until it’s finalized.
Thats all for now... let me know if you have any questions.

Brian F 09-06-2006, 11:50 AM And yes, we will be allowing PARAGON traction compound!
Paragon and donuts.... sounds like one of Barooose's wet dreams!
Brian F 09-14-2006, 01:50 AM Well the track is ready for the Thursday Night Oval. Doors open at 3Pm and racing at 7PM. We had a great turnout for Road Course on Tuesday night with 4 classes and multiple mains. Buddy even won the Vintage A-main and there were two mains in that class! All my training is starting to pay off! :D Hehehe... (I'll pay for that!)
If anyone needs directions, you can go to our website where there is a link for directions. www.victoryhobbies.com (http://www.victoryhobbies.com/)
On another note, we have the Novak 13.5's in stock and still have 8 or 9 left last I know of.
Hope to see you guys soon!
Brian
Hurricane Racer 09-14-2006, 01:22 PM Any regulars running open mod?
NH
I think most people will be running BL 4300 and 13.5
Atleast that's what I'm planning on running because no one else in the state seems to be running brushed motors anymore.
Andy Koback 09-14-2006, 09:20 PM Hey Brian, what's the going price on the 13.5's? Haven't seen any advertised anywhere. Thanks.
Hurricane Racer 09-14-2006, 10:27 PM I hear ya Grif.
If we could get the mods to wind up at Triclone, im all for it!
Sonny B 09-14-2006, 10:41 PM Tested the Novak 3.5 last week in New Castle. Lots of rip!!! Felt as good as any brushed mod I’ve ever had.
Brian F 09-15-2006, 10:43 AM Hey Andy... We have them at $82.99. Jeff was testing one last night and it was strong. I still don't think he got enough gear in it as I don't thionk he got it over 120 degrees. He said he has it about 10 teeth higher than the brushed motors he ran last year on the track.
Mr. Hefty was here last night and was pretty quick by nights end with a 4300. The grove came in real fast!

Andy Koback 09-15-2006, 06:10 PM Thanks Brian. Probably won't get to run one til spring. Gonna stick with the 4300 for the winter.
Not gonna step down to 13.5 and run with Lloyd again this winter? Did he fill you up with too much pinball machine last year?
Andy Koback 09-15-2006, 09:07 PM Well howdy stranger!!! Ya know, i kinda forgot about that day! Maybe it'll come back to me some day. :) :) We'll see about the 13.5. It sounds like the motor for outside next summer, but, I won't get much use out of it up here cause they're gonna try running some 19T I guess. Some die hards just don't like change. Who knows, we could change in mid-stream too. See ya tomorrow???
Hurricane Racer 09-18-2006, 02:07 PM Anyone have a setup/starting point for the new Gen2 KSG? Looking for a base setup for 19t/mod at West Bend/Victory/Kenosha.
Need to know what locators, and placement, what Tplate setup.
Thanks
NH
pmsimkins 09-18-2006, 07:16 PM Neal,
You'll probably find a flat ozite set-up posted in the Gen 2 product support thread. Flat ozite tracks all take pretty much the saem set-up, so if you find something there it ought to work.
Are you going to do any of the BRL races? We should think about car pooling if you are.
Later,
Pat
Hurricane Racer 09-18-2006, 09:59 PM Hey Pat,
Im interested in it... should I get a brushless system! But Im sure I will sooner or later!
Dont work for Nextel anymore, should be starting a new job next week, but it will have some weekends, plus wife will want me home with the son some weekends! Might not make them all, but hope to hit a few. Definately will have to pool on the ones we do hit! Trick is getting P.S. to go brushless now...
pmsimkins 09-18-2006, 10:50 PM I don't think there is going to be a lot of quality racing that isn't brushless this winter.
pmsimkins 09-18-2006, 10:52 PM Anyway, I plan to hit the BRL at Vinton, Greenbay, Omaha and then the finals. Hopefully you'll be able to make a couple of those. Are you going to do the race in Kenosha on 9/30?
Hurricane Racer 09-20-2006, 11:01 AM Does anyone have the info on the race next Saturday?
when/where etc?
Anyone running brushed stock?

Neil,
Is this what your refering too??? http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=155695&page=1&pp=15
racing starts at 3pm, doors open at 8am. Theres an address on the 1st or 2nd post. The only thing there has been so far has been 4300, but I would expect there would be a few in stock also.
Hurricane Racer 09-20-2006, 10:32 PM That would be it.
Thanks!
Brian F 09-21-2006, 11:04 AM We Have the track changed over to oval and ready to again for Thursday Night oval. The track got a groove in it real quick last week. There's rumors of Mr. Heft breaking out that 3.5 for a few laps tonight.
One note... we would like the oval racers to be sporting door numbers on the bodys. If we want to get the new guys starting up here I think we need to make the cars as reasonably close to what they see on TV or at the local track as possible.
Later! Brian
for realism maybe Mr Wood can bring out the donut maker give everyone a donut
LOL
The Dirt For The Dirt Oval Has Arrived
Let me know if you need any MUD. I was makin' PLENTY this morning!
Andy Koback 09-26-2006, 10:06 PM Boy Grif, you're sure making the rounds tonight!!!
Barooose 10-12-2006, 01:47 PM How you boys been doing up there lately? I was planning on coming tonight, but it ain't gonna happen. See you soon.
What'cha gonna run Barooose? 13.5 or 4300?
Looks like november 2nd when we kick off the oval season for real. Good turn out for practice. I gotta get my stuff together. Still a pile from the tri-clone
Well last night was the first night back to Victory since early August. Things are running well. Last night oval practice was fast and furious on the track and traction is superb from what I am told. Guys were flying.
Packfan was turning very fast laps with his KSG Gen 2 which is set up to run in the BRL racing series. He has it setup for the class which runs no wing and the rear is not cutout. The Novak 13.5 was turning 3.9's and looking super fast for that class. Mr Hefty was out also running his car. I think it was a car becasue it was a White blur to me. I heard he was around 3.5 laps times. For those who forgot the track is 80'x 36'. about 7 or 8 others were there for practice also running fast with brushless and brushed stock motors. I got the ITCH to get back out on the rug real soon. Right now the car is scrap parts yet from the Tri_clone. But I'm getting that thing back together this weekend and hope to be running laps by thursday night.
Other things:
Dirt oval is going to be a riot. The smell bring back memories of when I used to only run the dirt oval. God that was fun. The drivers stand is in and the track is starting to take shape. The banking is going to be just right and the traction is going to fast and awesome once it is packed hard. I think the biggest classes are going to be Truck class, 4wheel drive latemodel, mini latemodels. The other classes like sprint cars and direct drive cars may take a month. For you guys that like that drifting stuff dirt oval should really appeal to you. If this thing takes off as it sounds like it's going to the competition will be awesome.
There is also other racing scheduled with on road events, the Wisconsin touring cars series and the Midwest Allstar series should be awesome and now that I'm back I want to attend some of the races that are left.
Also Victory is proud to a host track for one of the BRL Oval racing series races. www.brlracing.com This race will have top notch races for all over adn is going to be awesome to compete in. Also Victory is proud to hoist the ROAR Reg 5 Carpet oval race
This is always one of of the great races with the abundance of top notch oval guys in states resideing in our region
Check out the dates on Victory's web site www.victoryhobbies.com
For anyone who needs hotel rooms in our area. Here is a list of some of the cheaper, older hotels that are closest to the track. Every one can look on line for the big name hotels. But these offer an alternative. They are not the Ritz by any means but do the job. Also some of these offer the ability to park at your door for the ease of transporting your rc stuff right to the room.

haysreeling 10-18-2006, 04:52 PM Whos all going to come out tomorrow? Grif and Bruce, where have you guys been you've been kinda quiet!!? I think I'll be coming up to get my weekly fix of racing. I know Makus & Corey will be there anyone else?
Hays Jr
Barooose 10-20-2006, 11:26 PM Thursday night was fun. It has been a long time since I ran any carpet. The car was absolutely horrible at first but was pretty darn good by the end of the night. I thought my car was going to screw itself into the ground all the way to China. haha. The track came in quite nicely also. So who is going to show up next week and what are ya gonna run?
burbs 10-21-2006, 07:39 AM Is the dirt oval only electric?? or is there ventilation (sp) for nitro.. I know they run it indoors and moody's, and the nitro sprint class is huge... Skomski and are will prolly do some dirt oval this winter, depending on what day it is run.. Hopefully suring the week one day cause iw ork weekends.. I know quite a few guys down this way who run nitro, but if it only electric, im sure they will get some electric stuff to..
If you guys do decide to do the nitro thing, make sure you have a door to close if off from the rest of the facility.. Ive been told the nitro indoors, leave a massive oil film on everything around the track.. Got any pics of the dirt yet?? I havent run dirt oval since like 1988 at the old trackside.. Oh how about silicone cap tires??? Man them things were wicked fast LOL.. get some old 3m silicone and a slow moving srill with a baseball card.. takes about 12 hours to make a set of 4, but man they lasted forever.. andhoo great job an the facility guys. hope to make it up soon to check it out..
BTW how long is the drive from WB area???
philb1 10-21-2006, 07:40 AM Geez, Mr Wood, can't go 3 sentences without mentioning your sponsor Huh?
Have fun guys, will see ya soon.
Brian F 10-21-2006, 09:26 AM Hey Burbs... Holy cow! Lots a questions...
1. The indoor track will be electric only. Paying to heat the place only costs enough only to blow it all outside. We are tossing around making a larger dirt oval outside depending on how the indoor track takes off. Lots of room out there for a nice dirt oval... nitro dirt oval out there would be cool! There's covered pits and electric all set from the off-road track. Also, we have heard about the oil film thing too.
2. Silicones will not be allowed. Foams or tires with no spikes. The surface is looking to get real smooth.
3. Mondays nights will be for dirt oval. Also any Saturdays there isn't a special on the carpet be it carpet oval or road course will be dirt oval. We will be posting a schedule in several places so racers know what each Saturday is about.
4. As for the drive time... depending on where you are in West Bend, it's about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours depending on traffic for me to get to the Triclone from here. Victory is way easy to get to from HWY 41.
5. I'm taking my camera today and I'll try to post some pics.
I'm really get'n geeked about the dirt (tri) oval! It's gonna be a blast!
Brian
burbs 10-22-2006, 07:35 AM Thanks brian... if you want you can email me the pics too.. boxerking1977@yahoo.com
Barooose 10-24-2006, 01:22 PM So who is gonna show up? Cory, Makus, Hays, OX ,Ted, Grif?
hefty12 10-24-2006, 06:29 PM Can't make it this week.
What'cha runnin' Barooose? 13.5 or 4300?
Barooose 10-25-2006, 09:01 AM 13.5 . Grif. Just the right speed for that track.
Well I finally got the car together, GTB speed control in the car and 13.5 motor, updated the radio with spektrum modules. I spent 2 hours trying to get the speed control setup. It would not set the brake mode. Then I realized I didn't have any brake set in my radio. It's hard to be a newbie!!
Tonight is the last practice racing night and on the 2nd of november we go live racing for the season. track is way fast. I think the lowest lap time has been 3.6 right now.
13.5 . Grif. Just the right speed for that track.
You mean just the right speed for an Old Fart!
MikeM 10-26-2006, 05:04 PM Going to try and make it up for support, everything is packed for the first BRL race.
If we were playing sports we'd call you an "athletic" supporter, but since we're racing toy cars what shall we call you?
Andy Koback 10-26-2006, 09:07 PM How about a.....Loose Nut Behind The Wheel??? lol
Oval Season Starts This Thursday Night
Was the general consensus 13.5?
