Found this bunch in an antique store near my parents on LI. 5 bucks for 7 cars. (5 Redlines and 2 oddballs... I got the truck pretty much just for the Playart "hubcaps".) Resto/custom anyone? I think the Eldo would look good with 70's type HW wheels...

wow, good call! Yes, it IS an Opel Diplomat, and it's a metal-bodied slot car made by a company called Rasant. I think they're German, and they're one of only 2 or 3 companies I know of that made slot cars with metal bodies. This one is pretty much gutted; I bought it that way at a slot car show for next to nothing just to say I have one. Here's a couple more pix.
