Saw these at the San Diego Comic Con:

The photos don't do them justice, they're really nice.
Weta is doing some great stuff this year.

Cool pistols! Is the steampunk era the imaginary 1890s or thereabouts?

Probably 1860's to 1900's, Perfesser.

I've long been familiar with Mr. Baileys stuff and anybody buying it would be out of their minds.

Oh, I realize he is and "artist" and he sells "art" made from "found" material. But, seriously...

Look at his ray guns. Number 62 and 82 for example. $500.00 and $700.00 respectively. They are common automotive paint spray guns with pieces of tubing attached for barrels. Nothing more. The other guns are just old air tools with, again, a foot of tubing stuck on them to make barrels.

I understand its very artsy and you can sell anything as art from a crucifix in a jar of urine to a painting of a soup can.

But fair warning to anybody that wants to buy one of Clayton Bailey's guns: you can buy the material at Home Depot for about $45.00 and assemble it yourself.

Carson,
No word yet - most likely sometime in 2007. I'll update the thread when I hear something.

There is a man, who's name I can't remember, and who's web address I have lost, that makes metal sf weapons, and devices. B5 bought several of his weapons. The Mimbari weapon from the pilot. Londo's pistol that was assembled from items in his quarters. G'Kar's "Just Imagine" looking pistol. The Centauri weapons. A very good looking one that wasn't used, and probably others that I don't remember.
