TBRC1 08-07-2006, 07:57 PM Well folks if I remember right the only weekend we share with the ORL is the November date weekend.
J-Dub we welcome anyone who wants to come and race with us. Further more all the race dates are sunday's. Come prepared for some of if not the best short track racing available.
Jeff O 08-07-2006, 11:34 PM jaffo is planning to run some there this winter.. definitely going to try and make the memorial race.
Jamie Hanson 08-07-2006, 11:56 PM You can count me in. I can not wait to run some oval again.
TBRC1 08-08-2006, 08:41 PM Jamie did we talk at Willow Mill ????? I was running the tide ride # 32 that day. If so hey look forward to seeing you again.
To all you other racers that plan on comming to race all us regulars can say is "come on down and have some fun with us"
quinn frazier 08-08-2006, 09:25 PM I plan on coming back had alot of fun racing there and maybe i can make all the races this year and dethrone John Mcminn
TBRC1 08-08-2006, 10:08 PM Quinn great to hear from you how ya doing ???
TBRC1 08-10-2006, 08:03 PM Hey folks there is good news brewing for the 06 Dave Mease Memorial race !!!! Once it's all finalized you'll read it here or I might start another thread just for the race................................
.........................52 days to go till we race and remember Dave Mease
quinn frazier 08-10-2006, 08:32 PM Doing pretty good, can't wait to get back there to race.
TBRC1 08-12-2006, 02:15 PM Hey guys if you know anyone who wants to try rc racing please let me know here. My buddy Brian has 2 or 3 that want to try it and we hope for more to make a full rookie cass.
As for the rookie class I am thinking of making it a limited ratio range and full face brush in the motor class. Another thing to keep it cheap for the rookies could be keeping them on green and blue compound tires. Maybe even see about getting the BSR spec foams. The last thing for the rookie class would be a 3800 mah battery cap.
As For the rest of the classes there is talk of using a tech inspection for roof hieght, ride hieght, weight. I know the "local" guys don't mind this but I would like input from the other racers. Another issue is about batteries I know there are those who have or want to get the 42's but what do the masses say about what MAH to set the limit at for the 06-07 season ????
Thanks in advance for your input and see you at the track soon. Semptember 24th is the test and tune day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TBRC1 08-12-2006, 02:33 PM Another thing I need info on is racers who might want to bring thier trailers for the Dave Mease memorial race. I believe we can accomodate trailers BUT I will have to confirm this with the store/track. Anyone who wants to bring a trailer (once we get the ok) should have a genorater to power the trailer. The last thing is make sure you bring any needed leveling equipment for the trailer since the tow vehicle will have to be disconnected and parked in a space on the other side of the lots drivelanes.
I put this out there due to the fact that indoors there are only about 35 pit spaces.
J-Dub Racing 08-12-2006, 02:47 PM I dont think you can limit the classes to 3800's, because you really cant get them anymore. I think all tracks starting on Sept. 1st will be running the 4200's. As for the begginer/rookie clase you may want to try the Arcor Spec class. Trinity Spec 4 cell pack, Trinity Spec Motor, Nascar Truck Body, Full F or R brushes (No cuts or holes), and any foam tire. It was a great class for me to step back into the hobby.
TBRC1 08-12-2006, 07:28 PM Good ideas there but I was thinking about the rookie racer being able to step from rooky to regular stock with out getting new batts and just getting his/her motor tunued for regular stock. BUT if the spec stuff you are talking about is inexpencive enough that could be another way to go.
J-Dub Racing 08-12-2006, 07:37 PM Yeah, the packs are like 18 bucks, and the motors are about 25. I have run the same pack all day too, so you really only need to buy a few packs. They dont last very long that way, but the setup cost stays low that way.
TBRC1 08-14-2006, 07:58 PM Hey racers with any luck I'll have good news to post and if I do I'll start a new thead for the Dave Mease race. any other basic info for the rest of the season will be here.
me too  what is the rules? weight, body height etc.???? comon get them lids right
microman14 08-14-2006, 08:35 PM kevin see you rocked them at the nats good job. C'mon Cant wait for GB this winter
TBRC1 08-15-2006, 10:13 PM Right now for rules this season I have propossed a 40 oz weight with transponder, a 3/16 MIN ride heigth and a 4 1/4 roof height. ROAR has gone to 41 OZ weight rule which I think is just plain stupid, if they go that high I say go 42 and give us back those 2 cells we lost a few yrs ago.
These are not set in stone at this time BUT when they are you the racers will know .......... I hope to have them finalized asap.
TBRC1 08-19-2006, 11:45 PM As to the post about the "rules" for this season, I got good responce from some rqcers that plan on comming this season.
As for the news I was holding under wraps: at this time we have door prizes coming in from 3 well known companies. I'm hoping for more as the time goes by. REMEMBER test and tune September 24th
Harold R 08-20-2006, 08:06 PM J-Dub, I'd be up to making that trip with you. I have never been there and would like to check it out.
TBRC1 08-20-2006, 08:46 PM Harold R look forward to seeing you there !! If you and Jdub can make it there is the test and tune on the 24th of Sept.
microman14 08-20-2006, 08:50 PM ok are 4200 allowed ??? And body height and ride height ????
TBRC1 08-20-2006, 09:01 PM 4200's not sure as of yet but for the other 2 roof 4.25 or 4 1/4 and down under 3/16ths of an inch. Some at the Denton race were thinking the weight would be good at 40 oz's with personal transponder or house transponder. What do you racers think ???
microman14 08-20-2006, 09:49 PM yes stick with what most people have been running orl seris is 40 and just about every racer has there car at 40 oz y change it then listen to people cry. I think you goiing to need to run 4200's cause i been looking for 3800 and there just anit none. Seriously voodoo doesnt have any jbr doesnt have any most that people have left are just junk 3800 so that means anyone with good 3800's are going to be top dog cause they got it. where 4200 are supper avaible and any. So i believe running 3800's would limit the class extremly and scray alot of guys away since they anit going be able to get good ones liek the guys tht have them.
J-Dub Racing 08-20-2006, 11:29 PM Sounds good Harold! I would agree with the 4200's. Most tracks are going to them, and they will be ROAR approved by the 1st of January. Personally I dont want to buy all new packs mid season. Just my 2 cents. Can't wait to give the track a try!!
pusher 08-22-2006, 02:26 PM Toby....Plan on 4200 cells as we and everyone else are no longer ordering 3800.......
Thanx, Jim
TBRC1 08-22-2006, 07:51 PM OK sounds good to me Brian already has a set and plans for more. s for me I'll get them before the start of the points series.
TBRC1 08-26-2006, 08:08 PM OK folks I'm going to keep this thread for the 06 07 series of racing in Glen Burnie. I am making a new thread for the Dave Mease memorial race information.
.........................STAY TUNED
TBRC1 08-30-2006, 08:13 PM Page two oh no no no we must stay on page one
TBRC1 09-01-2006, 12:03 PM OK folks a question was asked on the Dave Mease thread about the brushes in rookie. The answer is serrations are ok since they came that way from all the manufacters. As far as timing cuts or drilled hole they can't be used.
TBRC1 09-04-2006, 10:38 AM 20 days ................YES ..............20 days till test and tune day.
microman14 09-04-2006, 10:43 AM yes i cant wait. ALso does the GB sell the amb transponsders
TBRC1 09-04-2006, 07:20 PM I do believe they do just not sure of the on hand stock of them. I guess you could call them and have one waiting for you.
TBRC1 09-09-2006, 12:07 PM 15 days till test and tune day .........remember jack the gripper and one other ODERLESS traction compound are ok for use. I can't remember what the other traction compound is right now.
abdule 09-09-2006, 08:53 PM Tobbi, get some rest, you gotta drive in the morning..........
TBRC1 09-09-2006, 10:24 PM ME rest for what ............thats why they made mountain dew and caffiene pills :D is'nt it ??????
microman14 09-10-2006, 08:46 PM ok i think im going to run rookie so that i can focus more on chassis tunning then worrying about this pack and that motor. SO LETS WHO ELSE IS PLANNING TO RUN THIS CLASS?????????
microman14 09-10-2006, 10:46 PM also have you guys came up with rookie rules like roll out range and tires???
TBRC1 09-11-2006, 08:00 PM Micro as far as the rookie class it's just going to be any FULLY approved roar stock motor with FULL face brushes. No cuts, drilled holes or timing cuts allowed in the brushes. Batteries are 3800's since there will be alot of used ones that should be coming up for sale with the arrival of the 4200's. As far as gearing this is a rough one to answer since the rookie class is new this yr. I guess that will have to be figured out on the test and tune day. I would like to have the rookies fast enough to do well BUT slow enough to be in control. Kevin Colburn suggested that the rookie class could be a break out class. This means a racer runs XX laps X times can move up to regular stock. My idea on top of this is if the driver feels un competitive or uncomfortable in full stock a drop back will be allowed for more track time in the rookie class.
microman14 09-11-2006, 08:14 PM cool super sweet try to get ahold of me on aim and id like to talk to you a lil about the class etc. if possible. I know i should be there for test and tune. Hope we can get some more rookies to show up to run as well. Come on Rookies lets roll.
TBRC3 09-12-2006, 10:05 AM i know of at least 2 rookies and i do mean rookies.both have never ran in a race before. I have my daughter comming to try to race and my little brother well younger brother. If i'm right we need at least 4 to have a rookie class so i hope we get more people to run in it. hopefully this will help put a spark of interest in the oval racing and get more people to join us.
microman14 09-12-2006, 10:13 AM kool that makesd 3 but i think we need 8+ so C'MON. hate to have to chase down some 4200's to run normal stock in so short of time.
TBRC1 09-18-2006, 03:07 PM This coming sunday its the test and tune ....... so come on out and get ready for the Dave Mease race !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
microman14 09-18-2006, 11:25 PM is there house transponders??? Or only personal??Also i was talking to soem guys this past weekend nd where think maybe it would be better competiton and more fun if the rookies ran the 4200 also but that we just limit the gears. Such as 120 spur and then like 2 or 3 pinnions. Anyshot of some more thinking on this class? Also if the rookies run the 4200 then once the feel the are ompetitve a enough they can easily switch over to normal stock with out the extra battery cost. figure if you find 3800 there almost 40 buxs and 4200 are 40 buxs so the price is no problem.
