The boot sale was surprisingly quiet today, still quite large just wasn't crowded. I still came away with some great finds, including a redline, but I'll go into that later ;)

I got a whole box of Vintage Corgi, Dinky Transitional Superfast and Lesney (some of it in really nice nick, most of it not that great) for £11, which is the most I've payed for a box of stuff for a while, but I think it was worth it.

First up, the Lesneys from that box. The No.26 Foden Cement Truck is absolutely awesome, and I'm really pleased with the Cooper Jarrett truck, even if it's missing the rear doors. I need a cab for the other trailer. The Pickfords removal van will be restored at some point, the one thing good about it is that it still has it's rear rolling shutter!

Next up, these 3 sad looking specimens are going to be restored to their former glory at some point too, the Landy and manure spreader just need tyres, the Karrier Bantam needs a full resto, but it has it's rolling shutter too which is surprising.

This is the rest of what was in the box. It was a surprise to see the Moko Bulldozer with it's original tracks, though quite perished it still rolls very well!

These 2 Guy's were also in the box, both need the plug on the end of the tanker though.

Superfast Matchbox now, and the Transitional Site Hut Truck and Horsebox were in the box too.

Only a couple of Majorettes this week though.

These will be going under my customising 'knife' sooner or later :)

Corgi now, and I was very pleased with the Rockets Pininfarina P33, it's a new to me, I'd never seen one before.

There's a stallholder at the boot sale who knows I collect old stuff, so he keeps a selection of old things aside for me, and among the cars I bought off him (the others being the Majorettes and the Dinky Honda Accord) He produced this from his pocket! A Tootsietoy Fiat Abarth!

Also off him, this Dinky Honda Accord

2 other Hotwheels today, the Rapid Transit Coach and a Guitar Wars Custom '59 Cadillac

And then I found this..........

I very rarely find Redlines at car boot sales, I've NEVER found one in this condition! I didn't actually get it off a stallholder though, I saw another person buy it off the stallholder, and I was kicking myself thinking 'why didn't I see it?' - I plucked up the courage to go over and ask the lad who bought it whether he'd like to sell it to me, for what he paid for all the cars he bought off that stall, which was £2. He asked me if I was a collector and we had a little conversation, and he accepted my offer :D

All in all, an expensive but brilliant day!

Oh, and sorry for the long read!

Thanks! Finding the Redline was a real shock, as I didn't expect anything like that!

Nice Finds!
Could the MB Mercury Wagon be a future banger car in your long line of banger customs?

Yep, it sure is lined up for that process, it needs a new front pillar though, as it's broken off!
