As some/most of you have heard,know,or read,Scott is a young man and R/C racer from near Knoxville Tn.,who was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in April.He is still in the hospital,[Univ. of Tn] paralyzed from the neck down.He needs our help.Scott's father Lee is a long-time r/c'er and promoter of Lail Speedway in Maryville Tn.The owners of Fox Mountain Speedway,Charles and Carolyn Greene,heard of Scott's plight and decided to help.They have graciously donated their track,with all entry fees[$15 per class],concessions and as many raffle items as we can collect going to Scott.The date is October 7,start time 2pm[-+] and will be 4 heats and single mains.Classes will be 4c spec truck.super spec,[with 3800's max and open tire],6c pro spec,4c 19turn,and .09 nitro.4 cell stock will be added if there is enough interest[3 or more].Racers,Scott need your help,please come out to this worthwhile event.MANUFACTURERS,DISTRIBUTORS,SHOPS,TRACKS,HERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO HELP ALSO BY DONATING ANY ITEM [S] THAT YOU CAN!!! If you can't attend you can send any donation amount or "entry fee" (only $15), via PAYPAL to ARCORorg@aol.com and be SURE to state that it is for the Scott Ricker fund! ARCOR will give the amount donated to the Scott Ricker fund and also post the amount donated if you wish. I'm sure that those that use PAYPAL know that there is a fee for this and ARCOR will absorb this fee as part of it's donation. ARCOR will also be giving some motors and bodies to be raffled at the race. As the Lord said: "Ask and you shall receive". You just need the faith to believe it.

Today I opened the message that there was a PAYPAL I almost cried again. But, to be sure there was no mistake I contacted John Wallace to verify his donation to the Scott Ricker Fund. This was the reply I got from John:

"$500.00 is correct. That could be my nephew who races motocross. Please announce it and challenge more to match it. Scott is going to need a lot more than this." Then I cried..

So there it is, John Wallace has laid down the challenge. There are not enough words or the words to Thank John.

We all take so much for granted in our daily lives, not thinking what a split second can do to change our lives.

I also might add, while I do not know Scotts personal finaces, I have heard that he has insurance and that the premium is around $400 a month. John has paid a insurance premium. I know many of you cannot make the Scott Ricker race at Fox Mountain, but surely, some can afford to "enter" the race, even though they can't make it?? It's only $15 and it can add up.

bump....This is a race that if you can't attend, please forward a race entry fee. The Ricker family needs your support during these trying times.
