In case anyone missed the ROAR website announcement:

ROAR ANNOUNCEMENTS
7/27/06 Upcoming Paved Oval Nationals Info
"Questions raised by competitors regarding the legality of the Protoform 1223 body have been settled. Protoform has submitted a body which has the part number molded into the appropriate area. Many of the racers have unfortunately already purchased previous versions which do not have the required number addition. In the interest of fairness and since these bodies have been in use at the Nats for the past three years, the racers should not and will not be penalized. The unnumbered 1223 body will be allowed for this race only but no other ROAR National events in the future."
This should clear up any questions or rumours regarding the legal status of this body as you prepare for the ROAR Oval Nationals. As stated, the ROAR required ID is now molded into the windshield. Bodies with the ID number will be required at ROAR sanctioned events AFTER this Augusts Oval Nationals and into 2007. Hopefully any un-numbered #1223 bodies you may have in your war chest will still be of value for your weekend events and testing. No worries - I won't let this type of controversy happen again.
Good luck to all of you guys going to the Nationals. I hope the racing is "hot" and the weather is not. Have a bunch of fun too !
