I have only used it one race weekend, but had not trouble with it. Lee wade 08-02-2006, 08:23 PM I like mine. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the higher end radios have.As I get older "simple" fits into my lifestyle better anyways.:p I like the feel and the weight is good. Does'nt feel like I'm holding onto a boat anchor. No isssues with fail safe for over a year. Can't beat the convience when trying to practice. Just walk up and put your car down. No hunting for the right clip. Racin'Jason 8 08-02-2006, 09:14 PM I just got one and practiced with it this past weekend. I like it alot, especially the 'double dual rates'. I've been trying to compare its latency of 5+ milliseconds to high end radios such as the M11 but am finding that many manufacturers don't publicly share such specs. I agree, outside of processing speed, simpler is better. Haven't seen much use for traction control or ABS functions on an oval pan car! JPH Racing 08-02-2006, 09:32 PM T: We've sold a ton of these radios with excellent results. The spare rx deal is still going on, so this makes it one of the best deals in r/c, radio wise ($199). OvalTrucker 08-02-2006, 09:37 PM I used one for about 8 months and then sold it. It did work flawlessly. The "no frequency clip" deal is the best thing going for R/C cars. The reason I got rid of it is because of the lack of bells and whistles. I don't need or desire all the bells and whistles but, exponential when used properly is an extremely useful adjustment. If it had Expo, I would have kept it. tfelog 08-03-2006, 07:55 AM I've been using one all summer with absolutly no probs. Not having to worry about who's on what channel is the best. Manning 08-03-2006, 07:36 PM The lack of expo is just plain unexcusable in a modern computer radio. I wouldn't buy a radio without it. burbs 08-03-2006, 09:35 PM Well if your going to buy oneThe DX2 is supose to be basically the same radio exept for 2 channels, and less model memory.. The upside is it is a fraction of the cost.. around 150.. Plus you still get the three channel receiver so your pt and everything still works.. Its a decent radio, and i like that they molded it after my favorite most comfortable radio of all time.. The jr xr3.. I had my xr3 for 7 years.. The wheel wore out on it otherwise it never gitched.. well after i got the hitec dcx receiver.. I just picked up a hitec spektrum, but i was going to buy it.. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
