Weeks of hard work and testing are finally coming together. Here is the first effort in traction compounds to come from Windtunnel Racing Products. Shur Trac #1 for capped tires. Details will be up by morning at the Windtunnel Product spotlight page. Just in time for the nationals.

Here are some brief high points: Excellent cleaner, softening effects, outstanding, long lasting grip. $11.50 for a 4oz can with dauber.

Rob, will any be available on Henderson next week for the ROAR nats. If there is any in the hobby shop, I am sure it will get a good cross scetion of drivers testing it.

It is available direct right now. It will be up to the track owners as to wether or not they will stock it but as long as my cans get here then it will be available. Anyone thinking they may want some should order it direct this week though just in case the track doesnt order it in.

Here is the latest information on SHUR TRAC. There have been two versions in testing. #1 and #2. Shur trac test driver Mike Bush won the North Carolina state race this past weekend (overall) on Shur TRAC #2. This is a slightly different version of #1. It will carry slightly different effects but I feel that both will have their place in making a faster race car and better tire performance. So in short there will be 2 versions available. SHUR TRAC #1 & SHUR TRAC #2. They will both be at the ROAR Paved Nationals next week for anyone who needs it and I do recomend that you try it. :)


This compound has excellent foward bite, consistant from start to finish without the slick greasy feeling up front plus it is allowing the cars to continue to rotate extremely well in the corners. SHUR TRAC is locking the cars down but not to the point that it creates to much side bite. The rubber is rolling nice, tires come off looking like new. Then it is also keeping the tires in beyond great shape from week to week. One more. Does not crystalize tire from repeaded use throughout the day. I will continue to keep everyone informed of the happens with SHUR TRAC.
