The consensus seems to be that Javascript debuted at most 11 years ago; arguably it took at least a year or two to be in "common use".

"Dont" is incorrect - it should be "didn't" or "doesn't," depending upon which tense you were trying to use.
The sentence structure is a little hinky too, but acceptable in a conversational context ;).
