View Full Version : Excel program error RPM 07-29-2006, 09:45 AM There is an error in the G's (Laterial Acceleration) formula should read as: =(F20*16)/TOTALWEIGHT I forgot to convert lbs into oz which make a huge difference in the G's. There's 63360 inches in a mile. That's 5280 feet in a mile. MPH= 3600 x track size in miles / lap time in secounds MPH= 3600 x (track size/5280)/ lap time in secounds I'll check it out... MPH= FPS x .6818 FPS= MPH x 1.467 Dead on formula!! Tire RPM = 63360/ (12/tire circ) !!! YOUR RIGHT IT'S IN FEET !!!! ***** NEEDS TO BE DIVIDED INTO INCHES.... To find out how many revolutions your tire will make in one mile you must divide tire circumference into 63360. RRAFTER or H5 is the right rear tire diameter. You are right Jake!
