Nice buy. I would have got it too. STUTZ 07-29-2006, 09:50 PM Definately worth $5.00. Nice buy. I would have got it too. It has a broken windshield, but I can live with it for the $5.00 that I paid for it. Steve C. 07-30-2006, 12:38 AM You did well...I would have bought it to, the gold hub version was the first cast of this grand toy.... I just love mine !! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/SteveCameron/DSC00616.jpg STUTZ 07-30-2006, 11:16 AM You did well...I would have bought it to, the gold hub version was the first cast of this grand toy.... I just love mine !! http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/SteveCameron/DSC00616.jpg Nice pic Steve! I'm no expert on Hot Wheels, But are those Beach Bombs all REAL? Your Batmobile is awesome too! I have the opportunity to buy another Batmobile for $60.00. This one has the Batman and Robin figures in the car with the antenna still intact. The windshield is not broken on this car. No box of course, but I'm told that they sell repro boxes. Is $60.00 a good price? Mark Hosaflook 07-31-2006, 04:30 PM I bought this fair condition Batmobile for $5.00, what do you think? http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/508/PICT1792.JPG Good for you! I would buy that scale and vintage Batmobile all day long for 5.00 so if you ever get tired of yours just give old Mark a jingle. I think your investment is safe there for sure. I'm digging those other picturea as well. Puppy, that looks like a Brooklin or a subsidiary casting like US Model Mint. Those are nice castings. I just did a diorama with four Brooklin castings that is by far the most expensive diorama I ever did. Lpgeoteacher 07-31-2006, 07:05 PM I'd sure buy that for $5.00! Great car and a cool casting. I remember having the rocket firing Batmobile as a kid. STUTZ 07-31-2006, 10:38 PM Steve C........that is an impressive pic! Steve C. 08-02-2006, 05:13 PM Thanks kindly Stutz... I would suggest a 66 batmobile with Gold Hubs, chain operating device on the hood in good order, flames functioning in and out on the rear tail exaust, both figures in their seats and the rocket firing wheel on the rear trunk functioning with missels missing and even with high edge wear is well worth 60.00 dollars...I would have no issues adding this to my collection, but then, I do - very much enjoy the toy, as it was one I had as a child, and shared with my little brother, who I lost many years ago...emotions, at times get in the way of judgeing perspective value. I do enjoy my BBs....they are all origanal, here is one more. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y152/SteveCameron/DSC00798.jpg Thanks kindly, Steve STUTZ 08-02-2006, 09:48 PM Thanks kindly Stutz... I'll try to pick it up this weekend for $60.00. Is your Batmobile box original or a reproduction? RobDog 08-12-2006, 05:53 PM I've used this guy for retro parts for years; Don't be caught without parts, you never know when you'll find a Corgi 267, for 5 bucks! www.toytinker.com (http://www.toytinker.com) http://www.toytinker.com/batcave2.html STUTZ 08-12-2006, 11:47 PM I've used this guy for retro parts for years; Don't be caught without parts, you never know when you'll find a Corgi 267, for 5 bucks! www.toytinker.com (http://www.toytinker.com) http://www.toytinker.com/batcave2.html Thanks for the link Rob. I saved it, just in case I try to restote it. I can't loose much for $5.00. The person that was selling this Batmobile had a $10.00 sticker on it. I picked it up and he said I'll take $5.00 for it. Well, I thought that was GREAT and bought it! Greyhound 08-13-2006, 10:11 PM I like the vintage batmobiles I have an old Corgi one matchboxtom 08-17-2006, 07:12 PM If you want to restore it here is a good link. http://www.toytinker.com/batcave2.html Tom Larson STUTZ 08-18-2006, 12:49 AM If you want to restore it here is a good link. http://www.toytinker.com/batcave2.html Tom Larson Thanks Tom. I think I'll let it like it is (well played with). I have a chance to buy another one in much better condition from a toy dealer. Of course it's not $5.00, but it's in very nice condition with Batman and Robin inside the Batmobile, and the windshield isn't damaged. The antenna is intact too. DadsCoronet 08-19-2006, 10:44 PM Nice buy, STUTZ! For a while, I was following some auctions on the bay. Those cars go for a pretty penny in all kinds of conditions. Sounds like your $60 deal is a good one. Enjoy! STUTZ 08-20-2006, 01:20 AM Nice buy, STUTZ! For a while, I was following some auctions on the bay. For $5.00 it was a "no brainer" for me to buy it. When I got home I did a search for Batmobile (Completed items) on the 'Bay. I saw one in mint condition that sold for over $1000.00! I had an original box (not a repro box) too. The $5.00 that I paid for a fair condition Batmobile that displys well, gives me pleasure! Jstar 09-02-2006, 12:56 AM Very nice. I have one just like it.
