Whats the deal ??? I saw on the Seaford racing site that they are racing in Denton MD in august. I'm guessing this is the Denton summer festival ???? Could someone fill in the details ?????

this race will be during the summer festival in Denton, Md. It will be on an outdoor basketball court. Last year we had a lot of fun and drew lots of spectators. The date is Aug. 19th. We will start racing at 2:00. This is a great place to show people what rc racing is about

I went down to Denton today and the Bball court looks good for a temp track.

jr81 as far as I know there is ONE hotel in Denton and it's a Best Western.


How early can we get there saturday ??????????????

We will try to have everything ready by 10:00am. There will be a guard at the entrance and you have to tell him you are racing in order to be allowed to drive down to the area of the BB court.

Sounds good now all I have to do is get my butt out of here by 7 am and hope beat the beach traffic.

talked to bill a and he goign let me borrow his sparyer and im go to dollar store and stock up on some grape soda. hope fully goign be a super hooked up day of racin. Also just wondering what class everyone running? Im in 4cell stock.

I habe 2 or 3 (including me) for 4 cell stock.......but with 2 cars and a 10 $ entry I might just go and run something else if there is something else to run with a pan car :eek:

um there might be some 6cell xpec guys there. Also paul do u have some direction to where it is at like to be there early to spray the track.

The track will be at the bottom of the bridge in downtown Denton

ok so is so wsould it be easier to go around and then come back over the bridge or just to try and go down franklin street.

C'MON cant wait i stopped by bills last night and he gave me the sprayer and some soda so hopefully i can wake up and get there and get the track sprayed before we start practicing. I was just wondering what roll out some people are using?
Also is there electric or do we need genators?

From what I saw on my dry run down there electric is next to the track and across the parking lot. Then there is some across the street but you know us racers we want to be close to our stuff AND the track :D

Although now that I think of it those who have generators might want to bring them ....what do you think Ptown ??????

last year we had enough power at the park for everyone. If you have a samll generator it might be a good idea to bring it anyway

Hey folks just a note to say..............Thanks for the show put on today even with the difficulties we had to over come. I as well as the rest of the team had a blast. We are already looking forward to next yr !!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea great race tons of fun. Just wanna thank every one you had grape soda and Bill for letting us borrow the sprayer also like to thanks the wondeful lap counting system. Them girls worked real hard with so many laps

Even thou we could not get the lap counter to work I still had a blast. Sometimes the less serious events are more fun. It alos drew alot of attention from spectators and hopefully we can pick up a couple of new racers. Thanks to everyone that came to race and thanks to the ladies for counting laps.

i also think that wheelie ripping sprinter helped add a few smiles in the crowds.

Yes George Seaford will have racing under the lights this Saturday night.

yes i know there will be some 4 cell guys there. Dang wish my car had that much bite!
