Can this be done? Safely? Both are 12 volt batteries. The tractor is a B&S 18 hp. How much is a new battery?

How much is a new battery? txturbo 07-26-2006, 06:51 PM You can do it, but if the battery is that low you are putting a heavy load on the mower charging system once it starts. Can cause the regulator to overheat and burn out. Its best to let it charge for a while before starting the mower.
