Hi peeps!

OK here is the deal. I'm no mechanic at all so any help would be appreciated :)
I picked up a botormotorsports Mini Baja bike but it will not start.
http://www.bajamotorsports.net/Mini/miniBaja.htm
It has a Hensim hs168f-2 engine 6.5hp. It will not start at all, it has a pull start and every couple of pulls it just gives a loud bang and does nothing.
There is plenty of gas and new oil. I used 15w-40 oil as specified in the book, although it said deisel on the container the back label says its fine for 4 cycle gas engines with service catagory SL or SJ.
It had been working fine but it did fall over on an unlevel driveway and bent the brake lever. I do not see how this would make the motor not work though.
I do believe my neighbor may have been playing with the idle screw just prior to this. Could the idle screw make it not start? and if so how do I know exactly how it should be adjusted.
Just asking before I take it in for service and spend more $$ as it is only a couple of weeks old and if there is a simple fix :)
THanks !!!!!!

I can't make 100% sense of your post but here goes. Use gas not diesel. I can't seem to find much info on this engine, it appears to be a Chineese source. If you tipped it over it is possible Oil got into the breather and once you tried starting it the oil clogged your air filter. I would try starting it without an air filter and see if you can get it going. As far as the adjustment screws on the carb, not sure. Did your neighbor mess with an idle air screw or the idle screw that controls the butterfly location? Like I said I can't find any info to see if this is a adjustable carb or a non adjustable carb. If taking the air filter off doesn't work, make sure you have spark. If you have spark I would go through and clean the carb.

Report your findings.

from the looks of the pic, it resembles a honda knock-off. if the unit was tipped over on the recoil side you can bet the farm you have oil contamination in the air filter, carb, cylinder. pull the plug and pull the starter rope. if oil/gas comes out and plug is wet with goop thats a good sign of what has happened. Clean the plug, clean up filter and drain the bowl on the carb. May need a shot of carb clean as well to get'r going.

mopar, he meant use deisel engine oil..... if its spec'd..... use it.

I'm with the consensus about the oil going everywhere. If it gets on the air filter.... chokes the engine out.
