I have a pretty good understanding of how computers do what they do. Know nothing of, nor desire to know anything about programming. The greatest obstacle for me is not being able to have a comprehensive glossary of terms. When I try to do something like setting up etc, I am hit with dialog boxes with abbreviations that may as well be written in Greek. When I reference the books that I have privy to, usually what I am looking for is not there. Am I JPD or does anyone else feel inadequate in this area?

you can find a good dictionary of computer terms and brief histories in your local borders. Other than that 'maximumpc' is a great magazine for newbies and prosumers.
