Caddy style... die cast body on a AFX standard chassis

All my custom have chassis that are easy to remove. I've bought some cars from other people and they seem to either glue in the chassis or use tape.
I use screw posts and/or cobramite clips glued to the body

I have assumed all these years that Hot Wheels were/are still metal. Are they being made in plastic? When did this all start? The possibilities could be endless.

There are a couple of Hot wheels cars in plastic. Mostly from their Realistix line.

I know of at least 2 that have plastic bodies, the UK Cab, which is what I used for the cars posted here, and another one called "concept car". I have that one too. I'm 90% sure have a chrome Mustang but I haven't tried it yet.

On the die cast...Many of them now have plastic chassis under them, which makes it easy to get the body off when customizing die casts for HO track.

If you look closely on the car and the rivets, you can tell if it's plastic or not. If it's metal, chances are the rivet is bare metal... not always, sometimes it gets painted with the body. Even then it still has a different look from a plastic rivet. The plastic rivets are more bulbous.
