View Full Version : Windtunnel bodies:Heavy/light
MURDOCKRC 07-18-2006, 03:29 PM It has come to my attention that many of you would like to see heavy bodies being made especially with the Velo XHS body. This is exactly what product support is about and Im glad to see this being brought to my attention. Some of you have requested a Heavy body 40 thou instead of 30 thou lexan. Would you like to see this on any thing else beside the XHS or the is the etreme high speed the only one that is needed for this. If the racers want it then Windtunnel will do it no questions asked. I am here for the racers and their needs.
bologna 07-18-2006, 05:50 PM i run the 2000 ford nonvelo at a big (410) race line cap track and would like to see a body that is a little thicker in the reg ford

mcRacing 07-19-2006, 01:08 PM i would have to agree with him i got one of those boddies from him and had some problems ripped the right side up at that track and it wasnt a hard hit
SHAKY DAVE 07-19-2006, 03:55 PM This is Great Customer Service.I try & run the body shop i manage like this. What i would like is thicker xhs bodys.I would order at least 5 thru the shop i get parts from(Jimmy Babcock @ Hot Rod Hobbys in Saugus,Ca)right now.I run mod at the Encino velodrome, and 70 to 80mph down the straights is fairly common. The way i mount wings is off the deck lid & with the xhs bodys i have now,its like mounting wing wire to paper.I need to build wire braces for the rear, and we all now extra weight=slow.

swtour 07-19-2006, 10:25 PM so if I take the numbers correctly, everyone that responded is in favor of some heavy bodies, and heavier VELO bodies for sure.
MURDOCKRC 07-19-2006, 11:39 PM Velo's went into production Today everyone. :) They should be available by next week sometime. If you would like to get an order in now that sure would help for me to determine how many to do on this first run.
Thank everyone for your input

SHAKY DAVE 07-20-2006, 10:29 AM Thanks Rob.You will have my buisness from now on.Let us know if there is a new part number or how to order.
MURDOCKRC 07-20-2006, 11:06 AM What my plans are is to add and "H" behind the part number that already exists. Meaning heavy of course. Shaky Dave I appreciate your support. I am 110% behind doing what I can to give the racer what they want. With that said there has got to be a market and cause behind change or additions but if the demand is there and it will justify my input, then consider it done.

rc lee 07-20-2006, 09:36 PM Are there any decals available for the wind tunnel bodies
MURDOCKRC 07-20-2006, 10:23 PM Decals are up to the drivers these days. Because of the bodies not being associated with a manufacturer anymore. It is up to you to call them what you like as well as decal them in the form you want.

satrnfreak 07-22-2006, 12:00 PM Hey Rob, you have any more of these??

BallisticBill 07-22-2006, 12:34 PM The heavy VELODROME Body, the "XHS" (#2249-H) will be available for shipping next week but it would be a good idea to get your order for them in now so Rob has some idea of how many to make on the first run. The orders for this H velo are growing. Please specify part # 2249-H when ordering this heavier lexan "XHS" Velodrome body.
