Redneck RC is proud to announce the start of our Thursday Night Thunder outdoor dirt oval series beginning this Thursday night, July 20th, on our new 235 ft runline clay oval. Classes to be run are as follows:

-Small Block EDM
-Sportsman EDM
-Big Block Stock EDM
-Modified EDM
-Trucks (19T Max)
-Sprint Cars (19T Max)

Racing will begin at 7PM SHARP, with sign ups closing at 6:30, so if your going to be late, please call ahead of time. Entry Fees will be $8 for the first class, $4 for each additional class. We will run 2 rounds of qualifying followed by mains w/ 2 bump ups. All races will be 4 minutes in length.

At present time, we are quite limited on pit space and power, so if you have a table, EZ Up, extension cords, etc, you would be wise to bring them until we are able to get everything finished up, which should be soon, only so many hours in the day unfortunately.

Hope to see you all here.

And BTW, racing on the Offroad and paved onroad tracks should commence this Saturday and Sunday.

Tires: Foam tires and treaded rubber street type tires (Proline Strykers, Custom Works Qualifier tires, etc). No spike tires allowed on the oval.

Batteries: Nicads and Nimh's, 4300 max, 6 cell, NO LIPOS. If someone wants to purchase a lipo, we'll order you one, but they are NOT allowed to be charged inside or at our facility.

Motors: ALLstock classes must run roar approved 27 turn stock motors (locked timing, bushings, tag on armature. All modified classes may run any brushed motor w/ bearings and adjustable timing. No brushless allowed at this time. Nitro classes for the oval will run .12 size engines. If theres a group of guys who would like to run the 4wd latemodels, we will allow the .15 size engines that are included with the RTR kits, seeing as how they do not put out as much power as the .12 size engines a lot of guys run in the EDMS and Sprinters.

If you have any other questions regarding rules, please refer to WDRA rules as those will be used as guidelines.

Also, Track got hot lapped tonight, its still a little bumpy in the straights, but that will be take care of shortly. The track had pretty decent bite for not having much run on it, but once we get a good group of cars out there, it should come in nicely. Heres some pics of the oval, the onroad, and the offroad coarses from the roof.

FYI: Several people have called asking what time the track will be open for practice. While we do open at 10am, Id probably plan on practice starting roughly around 3:30-4:30, as it did when we ran friday nights in the dungeon, but if you get there early and want to hotlap it, anyone is more than welcome to.

Nitro Latemodels

Offroad: Saturday Mornings/Afternoons. 1st heat goes off at Noon. Classes as follows:

1/8 Buggy

We will also run 1/10 Nitro Trucks and 1/10 4wd Stock if there is a demand for those classes. Also, if it is preferred to run 19T or Modified electric classes, that can be worked out as well

Onroad: Sunday Mornings/Afternoons. 1st heat goes off around Noon. Classes include:

1/10 TC Stock
1/10 19T TC
1/12 Stock
1/10 Nitro TC

Again, if there is a demand for 1/10 Mod TC or 1/12 Mod, we will run them.

This past thursday we had our first race on the dirtoval with a decent turnout considering it was advertised a day and half. Based on the amount of emails and phone calls we've had, the crowd may double this week. If you have a table, extension cords, power strips, even generators, bring them because we are far from done and we do not have a defined pit area yet. There is however plenty of room for EZups and such, and we do have some electrical outlets installed.

Store hours are as follows:

Sundays and Mondays 10-5
Tuesday - Friday 10-9
Saturday 10-6

On weekend racedays, anyone is more than welcome to arrive a little earlier if desired. Racing will commence on all 3 days starting this Thursday. We lookforward to seeing everyone there.

We had another good night this past thursday....escaping the thunder and the rain to get the entire show in without any delays. We made some changes to the track to make it smoother and more driver friendly, much to the delight of all the racers who showed up. We thank everyone for showing up and we look forward to seeing you all this coming thursday night
