i got my sh .28 engine about a month ago and broke it in (8 tanks) and the engine gets really hot! I am running it rich and it still is overheating. I am curious if i am doing something wrong. This overheating causes the truck to sound very high pitched. CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GET RID OF THIS ENGINE!

thanks alot

TAKE IT APART AND RE-SEAL IT, YOU MUST HAVE AIR LEAKS EVERYWHERE !!

the screw that tightens the carb on the engine is stripped. Maybe that is why it over heats????? or does that not matter?

That would probably be the reason there. another possibility is your airfilter...my friend upgraded his to a small K&N airfilter for his Savage, and the only place to put it was under the roll bar, which blocked the air from cooling the engine properly. I'd check that too, but it sounds like you've already found your problem...hope it fixes it for ya! Savages are great i really wish i had more time to run mine

thanks for replying. I have another question, how do take out a stripped screw :( Or is there a way to put something in the carb to make it stop moving around. I hate when things get stripped
